We'll it's been 25+ years from the Imf WB they state it takes at least 25yrs to reform your banking politics etc etc ... and then you have them repaying Kuwait all of a sudden... then you have the mysterious HCL which sounds like it maybe pushed through before the senses of the people like someone brought up yesterday if they're anything like America the population will fluctuate drastically, so I figure the ration cards are a way to conduct this before hand...

sorry getting off topic a bit but I believe everything is tied together some how...so back to the Original Question...lol...I believe the time is short they are 28 yrs in. For Iraq and the progress they've made and are making specially the past year or two shows a clear indication that we are near the end of our endeavors with this piss pot currency...how quick that will be is anyone's guess. But I doubt the people of Iraq will take much more time. Nor us for that matter...

so all in all I've never lost sight, we saw stuff happening that needs to happen and still are a lot of news and educations going out to the people which was pretty much the last line Shabs left us with and we'll 3days to implement...and this 12th is veteran's day... any ounce of hopeium I'll take... and honestly we can only be upset at the time it's taken. If you have been in this long enough your hopes would be as high as mine too ... just due to the fact that we had an outline and they are going through line by line some in the forefront some the shadows but it's getting done... gotta remember this is the next Dubai ... makes me question if we should keep 100k or so of iqd...excuse me its hard to stay on topic with this subject specially with everything going on and all being connected somehow the ins and outs get twisted into themselves lol

UNAMI: Iraq's return of shipments of Kuwaiti property "an encouraging step"

UN praises Iraqi "positive step" towards Kuwait

Iraqi President Barham Salih and Kuwait's Emir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad

The United Nations welcomed Tuesday the Iraqi authorities' return of a shipment of Kuwaiti property found in a handover in Kuwait City.

The preparations for the transfer of books and other Kuwaiti materials took more than a year, in an effort to end this file as part of efforts to normalize and resolve all outstanding issues between Iraq and Kuwait.

"This is a positive and encouraging step taken by the Iraqi authorities in compliance with the Security Council resolution," said UN Deputy Secretary-General for Iraq Alice Wolfoule.

"This step shows the determination of the two countries to move forward in strengthening bilateral relations, putting the bitter legacy of the invasion and violence behind them and showing the best of good-neighborly relations," said Wolbol.

The United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI) has actively participated with Iraq and Kuwait as an observer to facilitate efforts to resolve outstanding issues.

The Deputy Special Representative said that, despite Kuwait's strong support and Iraq's commitment to international and humanitarian obligations, the full normalization of relations would only be achieved once all outstanding issues had been resolved.

UNAMI hailed "Iraq's move on the lost property portfolio and its commitment to resolve all outstanding outstanding issues with Kuwait. The mission acknowledges that the search for the priceless Kuwaiti national archives should continue."

Iraqi President Barham Salih confirmed two days ago that his country had handed Kuwait property and a three-tonne Kuwaiti archive as a first payment.
