United Nations announced on Friday the appointment of Iraq's permanent representative, Ambassador Mohamed Ali al-Hakim, as deputy secretary-general of the UN Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA), and the top UN official, Since the founding of the United Nations. 
"The Secretary-General's selection of Ambassador Hakim as the executive director of a long-standing international organization such as al-Asqawa represents another proof of Iraq's restoration of its leading role in international and regional organizations and an important outcome of hard work," Foreign Ministry spokesman Ahmad Jamal said in a statement. Which has been made by the Iraqi Foreign Ministry in seeking to develop its diplomatic character competent international positions are important. " 
"ESCWA is one of the oldest UN institutions as the regional arm of the United Nations in the Arab world. It was established in 1973. Now  put yourself in Chapter 8, article 140, HCL, WTO, and  RV.. lets get this done before the Big May 27th ,, But I think you guys worked last year thru Ramadan. anyway I think the next vote at the UN is June 27th., we have all waited a long time for this, a few more weeks looks like a light at the end of this tunnel
