10 years later, I hope its not another Ramadan Ding Dong, like the last 14 yrs have been.

Crane, we should not be surprised if it continues.

I read they announced it to be July 4th. My guess, after 39 days off, they delay the start because of lack of quorum. Any bets ??

I'll make a bet with you.  I say when the football season starts I will still be a Patriots fan and Adam will still be a Packers fan.

But if you want to stick to your version of the bet, then I respectively decline.  Hell, I bet Iraq would RV 13 plus years ago and you and everyone else can see where that's going.  I'm a good guy to bet with.  I always lose so, I don't bet any more.  Unless I get to make the rules.  But generally, no takers on that.  Do you have any takers on your bet other than me?

Have a good Memorial weekend my friend.  And everyone else too.:D:twothumbs:

Sorry for the ramble, just having fun.

Boy, everyone seems pumped. I hope something comes of this. I'm ready to live the good life.

Yes Gypsygirl...  looks very positive but i can't imagine anything happening during Ramadan.... i am at the point where i would like it to RV in the next few weeks and not in the next few months... so im hoping the pumped attitude is positive ...

. . . and no doubt, once this NEXT session ends, it will be pushed to the NEXT session with another set of feeble excuses as to why it needs to be kicked down the road just a bit further.

I just don't see this as great news. It's good they're talking about it but they just kicked the can down the road. I really hope I'm wrong.

--Genel is up big again today but no word on the reason why yet.  I'm thinking it's a possible takeover and not the HCL since all the other oil companies in Kurdistan would be shooting up too not just Genel.  Rumor is that a major oil company is about to enter Kurdistan that will be a "game changer". Could be buying out Genel?

Bump

Any more intel on this?

Spot on Englishman. Having independence from Iraq is just the start of the Kurds problems. They will not stop short of demanding territory from Turkey, Syria  and Iran to form their megastan. One can see that this is leading to more wars to come and all supported by the usual suspect nations spreading democracy with bombs away. There will have to be a complete collapse and takeover of at least two surrounding countries in order to get their oil to market or they will be boxed in leading to their demise. My take.
