These new cards are supposed to be loaded with 1,000 dinars. Today, if an Iraqi citizen wants to travel abroad from Iraq, they can exchange Iraqi Dinar for $3,000. So, nominally, it may indicate a 1 IQD to 3 USD exchange rate soon to give the Iraqi citizen holding the card the impression they can travel abroad for needed reasons - such as Haj - and may be a confidence booster for the average Iraqi citizen that things are getting better.

 

May be nothing - I am just sharing a thought.

The word "deduct" is what concerns me.....possibly a tax, surcharge, or pays for the cost of producing the card??? I know the way I am leaning but would like to see it show up on the currency converter on the front page of the CBI website.
