Ahmed said in a press conference held in Zakho in the presence of Governor Farhad Atruchi and representative of the Ministry of Interior, "It is a pleasure for me to announce today the opening of an office for issuing passports in Zakho after the completion of all work related to this aspect." He added that the opening of this office falls within the policy of the regional government and the recommendations of Prime Minister Masrour Barzani in working to provide the necessary services to citizens. The Ministry of Interior of the Kurdistan region decided since the beginning of the formation of the government to open three new offices in the governorates of Erbil and Dohuk to issue passports, and a special committee has been formed for this purpose.
