  • yota691 changed the title to Hezbollah battalions plan to take control of Baghdad airport and Iraqi Airways

%D8%AD%D8%B2%D8%A8-%D8%A7%D9%84%D9%84%D9

BAGHDAD - An Iraqi militia is trying to take control of Baghdad airport and Iraqi Airways to achieve strategic goals related to Iran's ambitions in the region, as the Iraqi government's influence inside the airport and its ability to control aircraft loads and passenger traffic are waning.

According to intelligence, seen by the Arabs, the Hezbollah Brigades, an Iraqi militia founded by the deputy head of the Hashd, Abu Mahdi al-Mohandes, and closely linked to the Revolutionary Guards, are said to operate directly under the command of General Qasem Soleimani, commander of the Iranian Qods Force, infiltrating through pro-Iranian officials. Important positions in the Iraqi civil aviation sector.

According to the information, Hezbollah battalions supported certain personalities to take important positions in the management of Baghdad International Airport, Iraq's largest airport, and the airline, the national carrier in the country.

According to estimates, the aim of this operation is first to ensure that Iranian airspace is easily used by Baghdad International Airport and secondly to provide substantial financial returns to the so-called "axis of resistance", which includes a spectrum of Iraqi militias loyal to Tehran.

Iraqi investigators say staff loyal to the insurgent group initially took control of the airline, which checks passengers' luggage, cargo and goods passing through Baghdad airport, allowing them to determine the procedures for each aircraft.

The information indicates that the Iraqi government's ability to control cargo in Iranian planes using Baghdad airport is diminishing day by day, and may disappear altogether if Hezbollah battalions succeed in tightening their grip on the facility.

In some cases, the Baghdad airport administration has been forced to provide facilities for travelers wanted by the judiciary and security forces, or politicians who have been ordered to ban travel, for involvement in corruption cases.

Since the US military withdrawal from Iraq in 2011, the impact of foreign security companies on Baghdad airport has diminished, having controlled aircraft inspections, landing and takeoff operations, and securing the perimeter of the airport itself.

Hizbullah staff subsequently took control of facilities that provide services to passengers, their relatives or relatives who accompany them for farewell or return for their reception, as restaurants, a parking garage, car operators to and from the airport have been acquired to transport passengers, among others.

These facilities are making big money because of the increased traffic at Baghdad airport, following the significant improvement in the security situation in Iraq. These revenues are a source of funding for the activities of Tehran's allies in Iraq, reducing the expenses incurred by Iran, in light of the financial deficit suffered by the US sanctions imposed on it.

In addition, staff loyal to this armed group interfere with the selection of aircraft to certain destinations. In one case, the Hezbollah battalions forced the airline to lease its planes to losing companies, owned by Iraqi politicians, and granted them landing, take-off and cargo facilities.

According to the information, an airline whose capital is contributed by Gulf businessmen is under great pressure to fight the number of flights it flies, the destinations it chooses and the prices it sets.

The war on the company, founded by an Iraqi politician and then sold to a group of businessmen after its bankruptcy, intensified as it went from losing to winning.

Baghdad Airport and Airline management are unable to cope with the growing influence of Hezbollah battalions, while sources say the Iraqi government is not helping enough to regain control of these vital facilities.

Observers believe that the control of an armed militia on a major airport in a country such as Iraq, means that the country has lost a key part of its national sovereignty, the airport is the gate of entry and exit, which must be tight and governed by national laws clear and unambiguous.

An Iraqi political observer pointed out that what is happening at Baghdad airport is very similar to what is happening in other sovereign institutions of uprooting Iraqi identity and put those institutions in the service of foreign agendas unrelated to the desire to establish an independent sovereign state.

The observer said in a statement to the "Arabs" that the control of the airport will ensure those militias white and black revenues at the same time, which could inflict significant damage to the Iraqi state on the economic level and deprived of the collection of money is its right, pointing out that the most serious aspect of the matter lies In the smuggling of illicit substances such as drugs and weapons, which may lead to the expansion of local networks of trafficking in these substances in the absence of the total state.

He warned that the control of an Iranian militia over Baghdad airport would turn it into a point of connection between Tehran and Beirut after the road became completely under Israeli control, adding that if we know that Rafic Hariri Airport in Beirut is almost under the control of Hezbollah, Iran would have found the most alternative Safe for their weapons to reach the Shiite militia in Lebanon. ”

Ever notice how Iran stirs the pot more when progress is made and we all feel closer to our goal? It’s not an accident. If, in fact, we are getting close, I expect to see a surprise high level delegation from US to Iraq in the near future. Possibly more strikes from Israel on Iran proxies or drones as well. They are hurting and desperate. But there will reach a point of no return with Iraq and their currency reform. Are we there? We don’t know. But a lot of things are lining up for us

Kalkamsh Press / Baghdad

Transport Minister Abdullah Laibi said Friday that approval for the deployment of a new corridor from the far south of Iraq to the Kaban point in the far north of Iraq will be approved for Turkey.

This came during the participation of the Iraqi delegation in the meeting of ICAO on the development of air corridors between the Middle East and Europe (RDGE / 31g) in Paris 31st version.

`` Since the founding of the General Company for Air Navigation Services, the ministry has taken upon itself the development of air corridors and navigation services, to accommodate the growing movement in Iraqi airspace, and to make the movement dynamic and global safety in accordance with the standards of international organizations. ''

He added, "Iraq has demanded for years to open this corridor, but did not meet his request in response, but the serious steps of the Ministry of Transport and aviation cadres worked hard day and night to gain the confidence of international organizations and work in terms of safety and international security adopted by the Civil Aviation Organization (lCAO)." .

The Minister of Transport that "Iraq had two global corridors in the sky and today we have three operating corridors in addition to obtaining his approval to reduce the horizontal distance of the aircraft from 20 miles to 10 miles, which increases the flow of traffic and multiples."

`` This major achievement comes as the Ministry seeks to support the leading and important role of the General Company for Air Navigation Services, which struggled to succeed in attracting airlines through the passage of our aircraft through our airspace in a number that doubled from what was previously to occupy a prominent place in the Middle East and regional countries.
