Good morning Yota and DV. It's certainly been an active evening here, and Aj suspect that there is much more to come this week. The recent meetings with Trump's delegations and the overly suspicious behavior regarding events that point to HCL being done are going to show their hand one way or another. The timing of the articles posted in this thread is not coincidental - especially with Abadi's 60 days for complete release from UN Chapter VII sanctions still ticking by.,..with little or no mention of Dasholes in Mosul, things are definitely looking better by the minute!

(makes me wonder why certain chamges to a certain site were also made.,.cough cough)..,

Go  RV!!!

The International Monetary Fund and World Bank leaders dropped their commitment to the fight against trade protectionism of the final note of their meetings in the spring.

The International Monetary Fund said in a statement that the Member States "will work together" in order to reduce international trade imbalances and current accounts "through the adoption of appropriate policies."

This comes at a time when US President Donald Trump's management is looking at ways to reduce the trade deficit in the United States.

The US administration has threatened to impose customs duties on countries that have a trade surplus with the United States, including China and Germany under the policy of "America First" that management is trying hard to apply.

"Reciprocal trade"

The International Monetary Fund warned earlier this week that protectionist policies severely hamper efforts to improve global growth.

But US Treasury Secretary Stephen Mnotchen confirmed at the meeting, which was held in Washington that President Trump "believes in free trade agreements and trade exchange."

He added: "What this means is that our markets are open, and there must be reciprocal nature of other markets that must be open, too."

He called on the US minister of the International Monetary Fund to intensify its supervision on the foreign currency exchange rates for Member States.

In the meantime, try the Mexican central bank chief Agustin Carstens, who chairs the Steering Committee of the International Monetary Fund, to reduce the importance of abandoning the Fund pledge on protectionism, saying that the term "vague".

He added: "Instead of talking too much about the meaning of this concept, we were able to put this (concept) in a positive framework and more constructive."

The development came after it ended the Group of Twenty leading industrialized nations meeting which lasted two days in March / last March without renewing its commitment to long-standing promotion of free trade.

These countries reneged on its pledge to fight protectionism after opposition from the United States.

The articles in this thread are excellent reads! Thanks Yota for these and all of the other thousands that you take time out of your life to post for us. It appears to me that Iraq is now swiftly moving to "financial security" and hopefully moving faster to "politically security", Maybe we will have a clearer picture after the May meeting.
