Washington confirms its commitment not to use the territory of Iraq to attack neighboring countries

Tehran encourages its political allies who form a balance bloc in the Council to enact a law obliging the Baghdad government to end the US military presence on Iraqi territory.

Undoubtedly, the departure of US forces remains a priority for the pro-Iranian political blocs in Iraq. Is this priority due to maintaining Iraq’s independence and not infringement on national sovereignty, or is the departure of these forces for the service of Iran’s geostrategic interests? The second possibility seems to be the closest to the proper political analysis.

Trump’s visit to Iraq’s Ain al-Assad provided a golden opportunity for Iran and its supporters in Iraq to concentrate their efforts to avenge on President Trump’s position, impose sanctions on Iran, and create conditions that would expedite the US withdrawal from Iraq, the matter that will release Iran’s hand in Iraq fully and completely, and allow it to achieve its imperial project, by controlling the land extension from the borders of China to the Mediterranean Sea.

Go iraq

Go national sovereignty

Go Democracy

Abadi: The number of US troops during government mandates about 9 thousand and 500 fighters

BAGHDAD (Reuters) - The number of US troops in Iraq during the government's mandate was about 9,500 US fighters, the leader of the Al-Nasr coalition Haydar al-Abadi said Friday (January 25th, 2019).

"If there is a real appearance and roving of these forces in the Iraqi streets, then the concerned parties must answer this," Abadi said in an interview with the obelisk.

He added: "If there is no emergence of these forces, so why the noise at this time specifically," noting that "this uproar may raise the concerns of citizens."

Abadi stressed that during his tenure he had a plan to gradually reduce these numbers, in conjunction with the security need of these forces, and gradually prepare for their full release.

The leader of the coalition of victory Haider Abadi, surprised by the "media whirlwind" that accompanies the file of the presence of foreign troops in Iraq.

Abadi's policy speaks of the influence of three states in Iraq and warns of a conflict between factions and fears of Israel

Abadi talks about the influence of three countries in Iraq and warns of conflict between factions and fear of Israel

The leader of the coalition "victory" former Iraqi Prime Minister Haidar Abadi on Friday the influence of America, Iran and Saudi Arabia in Iraq and its impact on the political decision, while warning of a conflict between the Shiite factions affiliated with the popular mobilization, expressed fears of the existence of indicators May lead to the opening of relations with Israel.

Abadi said in an interview from the channel "Russia Today", that "there is an influence of several countries in Iraq and that he was sorry for that," saying that "there are organs working with America, Iran and Saudi Arabia in Iraq and had an impact on the formation of the Iraqi government at the time not Where these devices can influence their governments and this is the result of our weakness, unfortunately. "

"Any faction in the popular crowd has a political side against another. This will lead to conflict. This is very dangerous and has terrible consequences if it happens," he said. "We do not want armed groups to control the country."

On the statistics of foreign and US forces stationed in Iraq, Abbadi said that last year and during his mandate, the government he headed was a precise census of 9,500 and 500.

"There is no Iranian goal in Iraq to strike Israel," he said.

"There is a very strange set of indicators and agendas that have emerged during the past three months, including talk about the alliance and relations with Israel, the meetings of the Baath Party outside the country and the appearance of Saddam's images in Anbar," he said.

Al-Sadr alliance answers 5 points on what raised on the proposal to end the security agreement, "Sofa"

 Twilight News

(Reuters) - The leader of Sadr's coalition, backed by Shi'ite cleric Moqtada al-Sadr on Friday, has proposed a five-point proposal aimed at removing foreign forces from the country.

Al-Saadi said in a statement today that "the proposal to end the security agreement (Sofa), which we submitted to the Presidency of the House of Representatives raised a number of questions and the importance of the subject and its sensitivity we answer the following points in order to clarify things before the Iraqi people in general and in front of political and academic elites in particular."

He added that "the issue of ending the effects left by the US occupation of Iraq after 2003 is a national task involving all Iraqis, both his position and not limited to the government or parliamentary aspect, although the procedures are legislated and implemented by the government as prescribed by the Constitution of the Republic of Iraq.

Al-Saadi went on to say that "we have submitted a proposal to end the (Sofa) agreement and cancel the third section of the strategic framework agreement signed between Iraq and the United States of America to regulate the process of US withdrawal from Iraq on the one hand and to regulate the process of military and security cooperation between Iraq and America."

However, the third section was clearly clear of the duration of the Sufa Agreement, which was set for three years ending on 31/12/2011, but the third section of the Strategic Framework Agreement is subject to military and security cooperation in the Sufa Agreement. Regret that no one pays attention to it as the strategic framework agreement is not specified with a certain time to end it. "

"Based on what we see from the legal point of view and the inquiries we have made from senior security officials on this matter, the Sofa Agreement is renewed from time to time through the adoption of Section III of the Strategic Framework Agreement. (Section III of the framework), which some see as something (odd) that would overturn an agreement outside (their time frame). "

He pointed out that "the subject of foreign military advisers and trainers should be organized in a realistic manner according to the need of Iraq and this was the proposal we submitted to address this issue and organized it and gave the right to the government to assess the need and the House of Representatives the right to ratify it, because of this issue of prejudice to the sovereignty of the Iraqi state with the Alpat We are speaking in general about foreign military advisers and trainers, not just Americans. "

Al-Saadi said that "this subject is very important and sensitivity and the result of the great effects in the political scene, which needs time for the dismantling and termination of this proposal submitted to the presidency of the Council as a parliamentary (as members of the Iraqi Council of Representatives) and not any other attribute derived from the powers granted to us constitutionally and legally to provide The proposals of the laws and to allow the various parliamentary blocs to deliberate and debate during the second reading of the proposal in the Council as well as the political dialogues that accompany it.

The Saadi had announced earlier in the day about the submission of the alliance, "Asron" proposed a law for the presidency of the Iraqi Council of Representatives to terminate the security agreement with the United States of America.

Khazali's policy threatens to "expel" the Americans from Iraq by "force": the problem of the survival of advisers or trainers

Khazali threatens to "expel" the Americans from Iraq by "force": the problem of the survival of advisers or trainers

 Twilight News

Qais al-Khazali, leader of one of Iran's most powerful Shi'ite factions who also fought fierce battles in neighboring Syria, said on Monday he expected legislation by the Iraqi parliament calling for the withdrawal of US troops from the country within the next few months.
"There is no longer a justification for thousands of US troops to stay in Iraq after a humiliating defeat," said Khazali, the leader of Asaib Ahl al-Haq, who suggested that US forces would eventually be expelled by force if they did not surrender to the will of the Iraqi parliament and the Iraqi people.
In an interview with the Associated Press, Khazali said he was confident that more than half of Iraq's new parliamentarians would reject the continued presence of US troops.
"I think that more than half of the members of parliament reject the presence of US military forces as a matter of principle If the United States wants to impose its presence by force, and ignoring the Iraqi constitution and the Iraqi parliament, Iraq can treat them in the same way and out by force, which is certain But the first stage is a political" .
The US forces are stationed in camps inside Iraq as part of the coalition against the organization of the Islamic state - urging - and had already withdrawn in 2011 within the framework of an agreement with the government of Nuri al-Maliki.
Now, after a hardline militant defeat in their last urban stronghold last year, curbing foreign influence in Iraqi affairs has become a hot political issue, and Iraqi politicians and faction leaders close to Iran are increasingly hampered by the continued presence of US troops on Iraqi soil.
President Donald Trump's visit to US troops at an air base in Iraq late last month has angered Iraqi politicians who have demanded the withdrawal of US troops.
Trump said he had no plans to withdraw the 5,200 troops in the country and that the use of Iraq could be used in US air strikes inside Syria after the United States withdrew its troops from that country.
Khazali said he was "sure and confident" that there would be an Iraqi parliamentary vote calling for the withdrawal of US troops from the country. He said there was no longer any need for troops and special forces anymore, but said a small group of advisers and trainers could remain as determined by a joint commission that would determine its numbers and locations.
"Anything else would be a violation of the sovereignty that the Iraqi parliament, the Iraqi people and the political factions, including our factions, will not allow," he said.
According to the US agency, Khazali was imprisoned by British forces and US forces from 2007 to 2010 to lead the Shiite rebellion against the US occupation. His group, the Asaib Ahl al-Haq militia, fought major battles against Daqash and fought the neighboring Syrian civil war.
His group achieved significant gains in parliamentary elections in May and has now been represented by a 15-member parliament.
