"There is no longer a ground for the survival of thousands of US troops in Iraq after defeating an oppressive organization," Khazali said in remarks published by the Tasnim news agency. "These forces could be expelled by force if they did not respond to the will of the Iraqi people."

"The possibility of the survival of a small number of advisers and military trainers in the country to carry out logistical tasks, but must determine the number and places of deployment by a joint committee on the subject," adding that "any presence out of this range will be considered a violation of sovereignty by Parliament and the people and political factions Including Asaib Ahl al-Haq. I would say how soon they forget, but certain none of these guys have forgot. We totally cleared out in 2011.... and in less then 3 years they were begging for help from any army in the world to bail them out.

Why? Because of the chaos that constantly boils and bubbles up where ever it can. Iran thrives on it and would be happy as a lark to get their little armies back on to Iraqi soil. The sooner the US leaves, the sooner they get back to running Iraqi affairs in full swing!

Parliment may have changed, but they are still too easily swayed to do what ever Iran what’s them to do. Proof they aren’t ready to be left alone.... They still haven’t finished cleaning house or Maliki would have been dealt with by now. The scum bags are obviously still working their magic.

They may speak for the Puppet Parliamentarians, but pretty sure nobody there is speaking for the Iraqi people....

Russian official position on the US presence in Iraq

LAVROF.jpg

MOSCOW, Jan 30 (KUNA) - Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on Wednesday that his country's position on the US presence in Iraq was "very good".

"We respect Iraq's sovereign right to determine its cooperation with countries, and as long as the US presence in Iraq is based on agreements with the Iraqi government, we see it as a legitimate presence," Lavrov told a joint news conference with his Iraqi counterpart, Mohammad Ali al-Hakim.

"We expect that the US presence in Iraq will be appropriate for the declared goals, such as combating terrorism and normalization of relations, and we hope that this consensus does not carry undeclared targets." He added that "Iraq will be a factor for the stability and development of the region."

He pointed out that "there are projects in industry, agriculture, energy and transportation, will be discussed in the framework of the second meeting between Iraq and Russia."

He said: "I would like to thank the Iraqi administration for this meeting and interest in developing relations between the two countries."

On security, Lavrov said: "We have an old tradition in the military and technical field, including increasing Iraq's capabilities to defend itself and to combat terrorist groups."

"Iraq will be a meeting point between Iran and America," al-Hakim said. "We have suffered wars for 40 years and we can not afford another war." Finished (1)
