confirmed that a member of the House of Representatives for the province of Diyala , an MP Ghaida Kmbh, said Thursday that the former Iraqi army officers are not covered by the law of seizure and confiscation of movable and immovable property of the elements of the former regime, pointing out that there is a misunderstanding of the content of one of the paragraphs of the law, as pointed out to the existence of Attempts to "mix up the papers" and raise "malicious rumors" in this direction. 

Kambash said in an interview with Alsumaria News that "the law of seizure and confiscation of movable and immovable property to the staff of the former regime, which voted by the House of Representatives accurately identified who are the segments covered by the arrest decision for funds transferred and immovable, including officers who are at the rank of brigadier and above and were security managers or Officials of investigative committees in intelligence, intelligence and public security, as well as Saddam Fedayeen. "

 
 

She added that "the former army officers are not covered by the decision of detention, and the resolution included ways to lift the ban on the disposal of property in accordance with regular procedures with clear timetables," stressing that "lack of understanding of the paragraph angered the dozens of former army officers in Diyala and created fears of their impact on Living conditions ". 

Kambash stressed that "there are those who tried to mix the papers and raise rumors tendentious towards the claim that all former Iraqi army officers are covered by the decision to seize property, which voted by the House of Representatives recently to the rank of brigadier and above and this is contrary to the truth in its entirety," noting that " The year has lifted the seizure of thousands of properties since 2003. " 

The House of Representatives voted during its regular session held on April 15, 2017 on the law of seizure and confiscation of movable and immovable property for the staff of the former regime.
