I would think, if they round up all of the corrupt politicians and put them on bicycles with the little generator against the wheel, remember those as a kid to power the little light, they could probably generate the 1200 megawatts Iran is providing them.

The seminar was also attended by Undersecretary of the Ministry of Industry and Minerals Mohammad Ali Diab.
Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi and his Jordanian counterpart, Omar al-Razzaz, earlier in their meeting in the border region between Karama and Tripoli, issued 16 resolutions to boost economic cooperation in various sectors including transport, energy and electricity.
During a meeting in the joint area Saturday, Abdelmahdi and Larzaz agreed to exempt the Jordanian government from importing Iraqi goods imported through the port of Aqaba from 75 percent of the fees charged by the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority, according to Jordan's Petra news agency.
It is worth mentioning that the Iraqi sides, headed by Abdul Mahdi, and the Jordanian headed by Al-Razzaz, held a meeting today, in the presence of ministers and officials from both sides in the border region between Karama and Trabil, to announce a new phase of enhancing cooperation between the two countries.
As for the Iraqi-Jordanian oil pipeline project, it was agreed that the studies necessary for the construction of the oil pipeline should be started, so that the Iraqi oil pipeline runs from Basrah through Haditha and then to the port of Aqaba to enable Iraq to diversify its oil export outlets.
The two sides agree that the Iraqi side will supply the Jordanian side with 10 thousand barrels per day of Kirkuk oil, taking into account the cost of transport and the different specifications in calculating the price of oil, which will open the door to export Iraqi oil to Jordan and contribute to increase the movement of transport and trucks on both sides.
Adel Abdul Mahdi, announced on January 29, that the Jordanian government will reduce the transit fees for goods to Iraq through the port of Aqaba, in exchange for the reduction of Iraq oil prices exported to Jordan.
The two sides also agree to sign a trade agreement between Royal Jordanian and Iraqi Airways in the area of "common code" to enable passengers on Iraqi airlines to reach various international destinations, as well as training and cooperation in the fields of aviation and air transport.
During the meeting, it was decided to start work on the "Door to Door" mechanism for goods, goods and petroleum products between the two countries starting from today, so that the industrialists, traders and businessmen in both countries will be able to transport their goods and goods from Iraq to Jordan and vice versa.
He added that this will be in accordance with the mechanisms agreed upon between the Jordanian and Iraqi transport ministries, which provides thousands of jobs through supporting commercial establishments that will be established to serve this intensive movement.
In the financial sector, consensus was reached on the general principles for resolving the outstanding issues and the financial amounts required by each party for the other, and the formation of a technical committee to submit proposed final consensual solutions to the outstanding financial files between the two countries.
It was agreed that the Jordanian side will supply the Iraqi side with electricity through an electrical connection.
The two sides also agreed that technical studies should be started and the funding required to start the project within three months. It is expected that Jordan will start exporting electricity to Iraq within less than a year.
The two sides agree to activate the decision of the Iraqi Council of Ministers adopted in 2017 to exempt the Jordanian list of goods from customs duties, after negotiations aimed at identifying the list of goods that do not cause harm to industry and local Iraqi agriculture.
In the framework of integration and trade, the two sides have taken many measures for the purpose of establishing the joint Jordanian-Iraqi industrial zone, which is an opportunity to benefit Iraqi products and industries from the exemptions and advantages of free trade agreements signed by the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan with the countries of the world.
The agency noted that the decision of the Jordanian Council of Ministers to approve the coordinates of the Jordanian-Iraqi Joint Industrial Zone, from the Jordanian side.
The Jordanian government allocated 2,000 dunums for the purpose of establishing the joint Jordanian-Iraqi industrial zone, which can be expanded to ten thousand dunums, although it is hot to take similar measures by the Iraqi side.
The Agency pointed to the approval of the Iraqi side to rent a site dedicated to the establishment of a permanent Jordanian exhibition inside the land of the Baghdad International Fair to display Jordanian products.
The Jordanian Ministry of Agriculture pledged during the meeting today to train Iraqi cadres in the areas of optimal use of water in the field of water and water harvesting, as well as in the fields of propagation of salt resistant seeds and in the areas of biological control and the use of environmentally friendly pesticides.
The Jordanian side agreed to give preference to Iraqi agricultural commodities to enter Jordan in the seasons in which Jordanian production is limited to these commodities, provided that Iraq treats the Jordanian agricultural commodities in the same manner, in addition to standardizing the registration of production inputs between the two countries.
In the health sector, the Jordanian side committed to training Iraqi medical personnel and facilitating procedures for obtaining the Jordanian Board of Iraqi doctors and completing the necessary procedures to extend the agreement signed between the two countries in 2004.
The two sides also agreed to overcome all obstacles in the field of medical tourism, And the Jordanian medicine and its Iraqi counterpart and facilitate the process of communication between them.
In order to facilitate travel to Jordan for Iraqi businessmen, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan will authorize Iraqi entities from the Iraqi private sector to receive visa applications to the Kingdom to facilitate the entry of Iraqi businessmen to Jordan.
The ministers of industry in both countries were assigned to hold monthly meetings to follow up the implementation of previous resolutions and understandings

So there is no alternative to the implementation of the project and the extension of the pipeline to transfer large quantities of Iraqi oil daily to Jordan.

Which was confirmed by the Minister of Natural Energy Hala Zwati in remarks on Friday, March 29, 2019, pointing out that Iraq has already completed preparations for the implementation and extension of an oil pipeline to transport one million barrels per day from Basra in the south and then to the refinery in the Jordanian city of Zarqa and export through the port of Aqaba On the Red Sea to the world market.

The Jordanian minister said that the actual implementation begins with the signing of Iraqi Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi on the approval, and then a treaty is signed between Jordan and Iraq and begins to extend the pipeline.

The pipeline cost about $ 5 billion, and Iraq believes that it opens a new outlet for oil exports, in return Jordan gets 150 thousand barrels per day at the cost of the share of the pipeline.

ERBIL (Kurdistan 24) – Iraq has completed preparations to implement a new oil pipeline project to export Iraqi crude through the Jordanian port of Aqaba on the Red Sea, according to comments made on Friday by Iraqi Oil Minister Thamir Al-Ghadhban and Jordan's Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Hala Zawati.

“The export capacity of the Basra-Aqaba pipeline, which runs through Jordan, is expected to reach one million barrels per day (bpd),” said Ghadhban in a statement, as quoted by the Petra news agency.

The arrangements so far, he continued, include the pipeline’s “track, components, absorptive capacity, the mechanisms of linking it to the northern Kirkuk oil fields, funding sources, and implementation and operational means.”

Iraq and Jordan signed a 2013 pipeline agreement worth about $18 billion and announced that multiple financing options would be considered. The port of Aqaba, on the northern tip of the Red Sea, has long been a route for Iraqi imports and exports, while Oman has long relied on Iraqi oil.

A 1,700 km pipeline will have to be built from Iraq's southern port of Basra, through the province of Najaf, through vast desert regions of embattled Anbar Province, into Jordan, and down again to the southern port of Aqaba.

Jordanian media quoted Zawati as saying that the project is awaiting the approval of the Iraqi Council of Ministers, to be followed by the signing of an agreement between Jordan and Iraq, and then implementation of the pipeline project would begin.

She visited Iraq earlier this year for a meeting with Iraqi officials after King Abdullah visited Iraq for the first time since 2008. Afterward, she said that the two neighbors had agreed during the ministerial meeting held in Baghdad to "move forward with the project that serves the interests of the two brotherly peoples by opening a new port for Iraq's oil exports and giving Jordan the right to buy 150,000 barrels of oil per day."

The cost of building the pipeline is estimated to be roughly $5 billion and will reportedly be financed through a construction, ownership, and operation contract.
