Some rough numbers here. 10% of 75 million dinars that each loan requires as a down payment is 7.5 million dinars per loan. There are 38 million men, women, and children Iraqis. If 10% of the population as a family unit is getting a loan, then for every husband and wife there would be 10% / 2 x 38,000,000 x 7.5 million dinars = 14.25 trillion dinars!

Yeah, I just try to put what little horsepower I have into all this while trying to make sense out of it all like other good folks here at DV! I'd like to think my connect-the-dots is useful but I greatly appreciate others' perspectives.

One of my gut feels is the news out of Iraq, and even other countries regarding Iraq, could get really squirrelly up to and potentially through the event we are waiting for. So, no anxiety wasted on the seemingly bad news. Iraq is so rich in natural resources (unlike other countries with depressed currencies) and Iraq needs to get the show on the road economically especially through international trade and international investment in Iraq. I could be wrong but Iraq would need to go international to rebuild at the pace various news articles are indicating and to avoid sectarian crises. I suspect the IQD RV will need to occur at the onset of major private international entities investing in Iraq. As such, I am ever hopeful

Does anyone know why they call it by 2 different names?
