Dang, now who is going to run the convenience stores and hotels? Who is going to cut our grass and trim our hedges? Who is going to work in the carpet factories in Georgia? We are screwed, even "W" knew the worth of cheap labor. If you think the twenty somethings growing up in America today are going to work these jobs, you are in for a big surprise. Millenniums, think they should all start out at the top. Be managers. The twenty somethings believe they are entitled like no generation before them. If you are a mom or dad and have teenagers, prepare them for the hard labor we all used to do before the illegal immigrants arrived. The days of sitting home and getting high playing video games while stuffing their faces with processed food and energy drinks is about to come to an end...

I understand your point but I believe that as soon as the current administration can put in firm controls over WHO comes across the border, they will implement a plan for the honest Latinos who want to come to the U.S. to work. We deserve to know who comes across the border, where they go, and when they leave. I've never understood why the Feds did not place centers near the border so the people from Mexico, Central America, and South America, who only want to work, can be processed in these convenient centers.  IMO, the honest Latinos who really want to just work in America would welcome this arrangement. If they want citizenship, then they need to go through the same process as people from other countries.

There is a solid reason why the Border Control Union eagerly endorsed Trump. They were sick of the catch and release that had been ordered from the Obama Administration. All jmho. 😌

Sadly I work with many local businesses and the owners tell me all the time that this is how it is with today's young adults.

Here is a true story, I just has a retention wall built and the landscaping company sent three guys. Two Americans and one Mexican, all in their twenties. One worked hard all day and only took 3 breaks per day and two took breaks about every hour to smoke, rehydrate, check their phones, etc.. Care to guess which was which?

If the Mexican is here legally then America is fine with that.

Trump on ISIS: 'We are fighting sneaky rats' that are 'sick and demented'

President Donald Trump told Fox News that the US is fighting "sneaky rats" that are harder to go up against than traditional armies.

The comments came in an interview with Fox News host Sean Hannity about the terrorist group ISIS in an interview airing Thursday night at 10 p.m.

"We have evil that lurks around the corner without the uniforms," Trump told Hannity, a top supporter of his.

"Ours is harder because the people we're going against they don't wear uniforms. They're sneaky, dirty rats and they blow people up in a shopping center and they blow people up in a church. These are bad people."

He continued: "When you're fighting Germany and they had their uniforms, and Japan and they had their uniforms and they had their flags on the plane, and the whole thing."

But Trump is optimistic about America's chances against the terrorist group he has vowed to defeat.

"We are fighting sneaky rats right now that are sick and demented," Trump said. "And we're going to win."

It is sad to say that most young Americans feel that they are entitled, lazy, and can not make change.  Most immigrants are hard working and willing to learn. They appreciate what we have to offer.  I work with a Russian, a Bolivian, and a Asian. Everyone out works the US kids. They are busy texting and whinying that Trump got in.

UN agencies urge Trump to allow refugees entry

January 28 2017 10:40 PM

The United Nations refugee agency and International Organization for Migration (IOM) called on the Trump administration on Saturday to continue offering asylum to people fleeing war and persecution, saying its resettlement program was vital, Reuters reported.

US President Donald Trump on Friday put a four-month hold on allowing refugees into the United States and temporarily barred travelers from Syria and six other Muslim-majority countries, saying the moves would help protect Americans from terrorist attacks.

"The needs of refugees and migrants worldwide have never been greater and the US resettlement program is one of the most important in the world," the two Geneva-based agencies said in a joint statement.

Trump stopped the entry of travelers from Syria and the six other nations - Iraq, Iran, Sudan, Libya, Somalia and Yemen - for at least 90 days, saying his administration needed time to develop more stringent screening processes for refugees, immigrants and visitors.

IOM and UNHCR said they remained committed to working with the US administration towards a shared goal of ensuring "safe and secure resettlement and immigration programs".

"We strongly believe that refugees should receive equal treatment for protection and assistance, and opportunities for resettlement, regardless of their religion, nationality or race," they said.

Resettlement places provided by every country for vulnerable refugees, some of whom require special medical treatment not available in their first country of asylum, are vital, the agencies said. More than 30 countries take part in the program, which starts with vetting by the UNHCR.

The agencies said they hope "the US will continue its strong leadership role and long tradition of protecting those who are fleeing conflict and persecution".

Some 25,000 refugees were resettled in the United States between October and year-end under the UNHCR's program for the most vulnerable, the agency said on Friday.

A host of US federal government agencies are involved and extensive background checks are carried out, UNHCR spokeswoman Vannina Maestracci told a briefing.

"I think it's fair to say that refugees coming into the United States to be resettled are some of the most vetted individuals entering the United States," she said.

The IOM wants migration to be legal, safe and secure for all, including for destination countries, spokesman Joel Millman said.

"So we hope 90 days is a temporary time and we stand ready to assist any way we can," Millman told Reuters Television.

"We're concerned that any delay might force some people to start from the beginning but generally speaking it's a long, long process and probably 90 days is something most people will be willing to wait because they have been waiting years already."

US suspends immigration program helping non-Muslim Iranians

Austria has shut its door to about 300 non-Muslim Iranians hoping to use the country as a way station before establishing new homes in the United States, The Associated Press has learned.

The action is an early ripple effect of U.S. President Donald Trump's effort to clamp down on refugee admissions, according to the New York Times.

Under a 27-year-old program originally approved by Congress to help Jews in the former Soviet Union, Austria had been serving until recently as a conduit for Iranian Jews, Christians and Baha'i, who were at risk in their home country and eligible to resettle in the United States.

U.S. officials had been interviewing the candidates in Austria because they cannot do so in Iran. But the United States suspended the so-called "Iranian Lautenberg Program" in recent days, according to Austrian officials, who in turn stopped Iranians from reaching their territory. It's unclear when the program might restart.

The episode isn't directly linked to an executive order Trump signed Friday that orders strict new screening for refugees to keep "radical Islamic terrorists" out of the United States. But it reflects the knock-on effects already occurring from his tougher line on immigration and refugees.

Iraq to oppose US travel curbs, keen to work together against ISIS

Crisis in Mosul
Crisis in Mosul

Iraq will lobby against new travel limits to the United States by Iraqis, arguing both countries need to uphold their fight ISIS, Reuters quoted the Iraqi parliamentarians as saying on Sunday.

The Iraqi government has so far declined comment on an executive order signed by new US President Donald Trump on Friday that suspends the entry of travelers from Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria and Yemen for at least 90 days.

The order stirred angry reactions in Iraq, where more than 5,000 US troops are deployed to help Iraqi and regional Kurdish forces in the war against ISIS insurgents.

Some members of parliament said Iraq should retaliate with similar measures against the United States.

"Iraq is in the front line of the war on terrorism ... and it is unfair that the Iraqis are treated in this way," parliament's foreign affairs committee said in a statement.

"We call on the Iraqi government to retaliate for the decision taken by the US administration," it added after a session on Sunday in Baghdad.

Baghdad plans to lobby Washington to review the decision, according to two lawmakers who declined to be identified.

One of them said that the government will "explain that Iraq as a sovereign country will be forced to apply similar treatment, and that would affect negatively cooperation, including military cooperation", in the conflict with ISIS.

Al-Hash Shiite militias (IMIS) urged Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi's government to expel US nationals.

Influential Shi'ite cleric Moqtada al-Sadr said on Sunday American citizens should leave Iraq. "It would be arrogance for you (Americans) to enter Iraq and other countries freely while barring them entrance to your country ... and therefore you should get your nationals out," he said on his website.
