Red Alert - Guns and Ammo found by DC River

WASHINGTON — The discovery of a violin case containing two guns led police to uncover a cache of even more guns and ammunition along the Chesapeake & Ohio Canal near the Boathouse at Fletcher’s Cove in Northwest D.C.

U.S. Park Police and D.C. police Wednesday afternoon investigated the two areas where the weapons were found. Traffic on Canal Road near the boathouse had been stopped during the investigation but the road has reopened.

A woman walking along the canal late Wednesday morning saw some debris surrounding a violin case along the stone wall that lines the road, according to park police. When she opened the case, she found two guns inside, and she brought it to authorities near Fletcher’s boathouse.

About a quarter-mile north of that location, investigators found a second site with multiple weapons and ammunition surrounded by trash and other debris.

Park Police spokeswoman Sgt. Anna Rose said there were a variety of weapons recovered, including long guns and pistols. The weapons were in buckets and bags, Rose said, although she said she didn’t believe any of them were loaded.

“There’s no indication as to why these weapons were here, when they came to be here or the circumstances surrounding it — that part’s all under investigation,” Rose said.

I personally think they should have an impromptu swearing in of Donald Trump a day early in public and then televise it. That way all the rabble rousers all drugged and punked up can raid their stashes and then have at each other for their own self styled elimination inauguration.

Agreed.....that way President Trump could actually provide the necessary law enforcement and protection to participants, not having to depend on Barry's encouraging mass rioting and mayhem approaching to "law and order".

I realize many women hated Trump, and loved Clinton but this nonsense is extreme.

Funny how so many voted for Obama wishing for change, but all they got was Obamacare. 8 years of doing nothing except helping LGBT, Muslims, and immigrants; while disregarding the hulk of our citizens. We traded good paying career jobs for minimum wage jobs. The Middle Class suffered, and the poor got poorer. The rich always find a way to maintain/increase their wealth.

Our national debt is ever increasing and hate is spreading across the nation.

I voted for Trump for three reasons: 1) A businessman should be well versed in fixing our economy and bringing back prosperity. 2) Tired of the old Washington political broken promises. 3) Our national defense, and foreign relations are at any all time low.

This proposed march on Washington will do nothing to help our nation. The Democrat's seem to not care weather our country heals, comes together or tears itself apart. We even see Democratic politicians attempting to denounce Trump as the President. Total insanity.

If you think Bush left a lot of problems for Obama; it is nothing compared to what Obama has left for Trump.

My unfounded and inflammatory guess is the guns were planted there by the DNC and HRC in order for them to assassinate POTUS Trump. And or otherwise just create a controversy of violence surrounding the Presidency of Donald Trump.
