I wrote this Poem several years ago and wanted to see what you think

If Jesus came upon you and called you by name

Could you look him in the face or just hang your head in shame

Would you stair in amazement as if you've never believed

Or welcome his visit and a feeling of being relieved

Would you ask to see his hand for proof that he is real

Or would you take him by his hand and show him how you feel

Even though he is someone who's figure will rarely appear

What would you do if the Son of Man came so near

Would you be afraid your mind is playing a game

Or could your recognize the Son of Man with his Jewish name

If he ask to search your heart would you have things to hide

Or would the conviction of his voice bring your life before your eyes

How would you explain your life to one who knows it all

There will be no excuses offered from anyone no matter how small

On that day when Jesus comes upon you and calls you by name

Will he be pleased or will your deeds be in vein
