The sale price of the dollar = 120.000 dinars.

The purchase price of the dollar = 119,000 dinars.

Market Economynews - Baghdad The exchange rate of the dollar, Monday, slightly up against the dinar in the local currency market.  According to the figures received by "Economy News", the price of selling the dollar in Baghdad today was 119 thousand and 250 dinars and the purchase price 120 thousand and 250 dinars compared to $ 100.  On the Basra Stock Exchange, the sale price today was 119 thousand and 750 dinars, and the purchase price 120 thousand and 750 dinars for one hundred dollars.  While the sale price of the dollar on the Arbil Stock Exchange today 119 thousand 500 dinars, and the purchase price 121 thousand and 500 dinars compared to $ 100. I'm not an accounting genius but: If the CBI just raised the official rate to 1190 and today's results hover around 1192 that would be way, way below the 2% goal which is now up around 1220 (1190 +6 points for handling).  My dumb Oldfart's logic says it appears that the raise to 1190 just made the 2% goal much easier to reach over these last what, ?17? days of the 90 day goal.  The CBI has been doing an excellent job of managing and seem to be upping their game, to our benefit.  After 8 years of this camel circle hump, I think the end may just be over the next sandpile.

Rafidain opens branch in Saqlawiya after reconstruction

 

Banks Economy News _ Baghdad Rafidain Bank announced on Tuesday the opening of its branch in Saqlawiyah in Anbar province to provide banking services to citizens.  The Information Office of the bank said in a statement received by "Economy News", that the branch was opened Saqlawiyah in the presence of a number of officials and elders and tribal sheikhs after the reconstruction and rehabilitation.  He pointed out that "the opening of the branch in the province will contribute significantly to revive the economic movement after the stagnation of the paralyzing trade movement, which will ease the burden of staff and citizens in the whole of Anbar."
