ISIL Commanders Allow Withdrawal From Mosul

 

ISIL's field commanders have ordered their elite fighters to leave Mosul for Syria," Hesamulddin al-Abar said.

"Mosul streets are empty of ISIL terrorists and the capture of the TV building and other districts of Mosul by the Iraqi Army soldiers have devastated ISIL's morale and capabilities," he further added.

"Based on army intel, ISIL commanders have ordered their members to leave Mosul via the two left and right banks of the Tigris river for Syria," the Iraqi official said.

Army sources said on Tuesday that the Iraqi Army managed to fully liberate two strategic districts on the Eastern edge of the Northern city of Mosul from ISIL terrorists, a day after they entered the major Iraqi city that has been under the control of terrorists since 2014.

"The Iraqi Army managed to fully liberate districts of 'Kokjeli' and 'Al-Sameh' and inflicted heavy losses on the terrorists," the source said.

The development comes hours after the Iraqi Army retook Mosul's Radio and TV broadcasting buildings on Tuesday.

In a separate development, Iraqi Army forces also managed to enter the city of Mosul from the Northern outskirts of the ISIL-held city.

According to the latest reports, the Iraqi Army forces also entered Judaydat al-Mufti neighborhood, on the left flank of the Mosul battlefield. Heavy clashes are reported between Iraqi Army forces and terrorists in the district.

ISTANBUL — The leader of the Islamic State (IS), Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, is hiding in Mosul, said Fuad Hussein, the Chief of Staff of the Kurdistan Region Presidency.

 

“Baghdadi is there and, if he is killed, it will mean the collapse of the whole [IS] system” Hussein told the Independent.

Who the successor will be upon his death and whether he will have the same influence over al-Baghdadi’s followers is questionable.

While he is supposed to be alive, the IS militants will protect al-Baghdadi by all available means. This fact can complicate the advance of the Iraqi and Kurdish forces inside the city. However, “it is obvious that they will lose, but how long this will take to happen,” Hussein added.

It was from a mosque in Mosul that Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi declared his caliphate in 2014.

Previously, there have been a number of reports of al-Baghdadi being injured, poisoned, or dead. The latest such report dates back to October of this year. However, none of these reports have been verified

Do they kill him outright . . . or in the event he is captured ( this guy is a murdering coward ), put him on trial, then send him to the Gallows Pole ?

My preference ( in the event of capture ), would be to execute him in the most horrific way ISIS has of executing all those thousands of innocents. Let him experience firsthand the true horror of what he and his followers have done to those folks that only wanted to live in peace.

Actually, now that I think of it, this should hold true for EVERY ISIS murderer to be "dealt with" in the future. KARMA is gonna be a Biatch for these cowards.

Brigadier Saad Maan, the spokesperson of Iraq’s Interior Ministry told Rudaw that the plan of the joint command in Nineveh is going faster than what the army had planned. 

 

“The anti-terrorism forces are present on the ground in Gogjali and on other fronts I don’t think it will take long,” Brig. Maan said.

 

He added: “We have challenges. We’ve to protect the infrastructure and before that protect the lives of people. And we also have to be careful and not lose the lives of our soldiers.”

According to Maan, the Iraqi army has on the southern front retaken 1440 square kilometers and “We’ve also freed 65 villages of 85 villages on this front.”

Fricking  OORAH 10 Years. Al-Bagdaddi and all ISIS (slang name for a cat that begins with a 'p') should be executed in a horrific manner similar to how they murdered innocent people in the name of their movement, wahabbism sunni islam.  If it were up to me i would combine burning him alive in a cage, perhaps with a blow tourch. Then right as he was lingering because we did something to protect his lungs from the heat and flames, but while he was seizing from the pain of the burns after having been given a chance to stabilize without medical aid. Then, then I would finish it by drowning him in the same cage he was sprayed with gas in.

In actuality, that is my flesh speaking out. I would enter into deep prayer to find the best divinely approved method for these sub humans demise after they were legally convicted. Perhaps biblical stoning of them in a pit by the survivors of the family they victimized. That sounds good.

ERBIL — A Peshmerga commander said the battle of retaking Mosul will not take long, and regarding the Islamic State (IS) leader Abu Bakir al-Baghdadi's latest message to his followers, he said "it denotes the weakness of the group and its ultimate collapse."

 

Baghdadi released a recording on Thursday to address his followers in Mosul in which he expresses confidence in victory as the Iraqi forces have entered the city. “To all the people of Nineveh, especially the fighters, beware of any weakness in facing your enemy,” he says.

Baghdadi has apparently noticed the low morale of his fighters in the face of the Iraqi forces who are swiftly thrusting into Mosul, the IS stronghold in Iraq. His audio message is aimed at encouraging the militants and enhancing their morale to fight the Iraqi forces to the end.

Hameed Afandi, the commander of the Peshmerga forces on Bashiq front, told BasNews that Baghdadi finally broke silence after two years since he declared his Caliphate in Mosul, noting that his statement coincides with the liberation of several neighbourhoods in central Mosul.

Afandi said that IS has been defeated on all Peshmerga fronts and the morale of the militants has been destroyed asserting that Baghdadi's message to his followers indicates the proximity of the group's last defeat.

The Peshmerga commander explained that the extremist organization's military capability has weakened and it is no longer able to open fronts against the Iraqi and Peshmerga forces, adding that the militants will consequently flee, die or fall captives.

Roughly 1,700 U.S. Army paratroopers are headed to Iraq to assist security forces in their fight against the Islamic State group.

The 82nd Airborne’s 2nd Brigade Combat Team from Fort Bragg, North Carolina, will soon deploy in support of Operation Inherent Resolve. The troops will replace members of the 101st Airborne Division from Fort Campbell, Kentucky.

Col. James “Pat” Work, commander of 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne, told Military Times on Thursday that his men are ready for the winter deployment.

“The 2nd Brigade Combat Team is highly trained, disciplined and fit,” the officer said. “Readiness is our top priority; our paratroopers are prepared for this deployment in support of Operation Inherent Resolve. Our team looks forward to this important mission and our opportunity to assist our Iraqi partners.”

The Pentagon also announced in mid-October that 500 soldiers from the Big Red One from Fort Riley, Kansas, will also deploy to Iraq.
