In my opinion, this is something that is happening (to some extent) or about to happen with our investment.  A ministry directly mentioned a "major disinformation campaign" "now practiced" and "well planned out" for "planned public opinion" regarding rice and wheat especially on religious occasions.  Looks like there were people manipulating the stock market, too.  Maybe something to keep in mind regarding post event Iraqi investments.

Apparently, the rice was unfit for human consumption, too, and there was a questionable shipment of Canadian wheat at one time.  This is not to say, of course, that Canadian wheat is bad or sometimes bad but likely of the highest quality possible.  The Canadian wheat may have spoiled in shipment due to the handling and storage practices outside of Canadian control.

This is how Iraqi politicians act and react it is engrained into their mindset. Nothing has changed in this aspect. The best way to control a people is to control the dialogue that goes out to them. Disinformation is part of this dialogue. To think this has changed since the Sadam regime had been removed is a misnomer.

I, too, hope the axe will fall very soon on Maliki and his stooges because of their ill practices on the Iraqi people (among many, many other things).  I, too, can not imagine Iraq can demonstrate they are truly a Sovereign State with Maliki and his stooges free to operate in collusion with elements (Iran) contrary to Iraq's Sovereignty.
