Yes the article states file are cents and DI is the equivalent to the dollar.

OK - my interpretation is they would place $1 US equal to 1.18 Dinar - or 1 Dinar equals $.85 (or $.847 if we go 3 significant figures). They are basically moving the decimal point to the left 3 places on the Dinar value.  This is what I have always believed what they have meant when they talk about "dropping the 3 zeroes."

That would work for me!

ok quick question what happens to our paper currency if this goes thru. would they allow a grace period to convert to the new. Been in the long haul since 2011 and just learning more and more each day.

Thug, for sure this is ones guys opinion an talking on Facebook about it of all places but I'm also thinking they are educating the masses now through social media as to what's coming. I haven't goggled this guy but he is an economics news editor an with this article shows he knows a little about what's going on over there. Thank you for the post - and for everyone's input. The timing and detail of this article is excellent, despite the fact that it appears to be an opinion piece. Hopefully it is in fact a 'heads-up' type of message for the masses as was suggested above. And GregH, thank you for offering to talk to your friend about this. Much appreciated Thugs, Yota, DoD,GregHi and everyone else, let's see where this leads. Although an opinion peace it is the most interesting post on the actual RV I have seen yet. Sometimes doubt eneters ones mind about the reality of this ride and out of the blue this shows up and shines a new light on things. Keeping the faith is the name of the game here DV and I can't wait to see what new tid bits comes along
