Prayers for my father-in-law

I once again ask the DinarVets' prayer warriors for their support.  My father-in-law is going in for surgery today. He is having 2 cervical vertebrae fused in the hope of reducing his migraines. You may remember earlier that we thought he had a stroke. It turned out to be a massive migraine cause by the problems in his cervical vertebrae.  This is a bit of a tricky surgery. They go in from the front of the throat, move the trachea and esophagus to the side, then do the fusion and put everything back.  Mrs. Tankdude is pretty concerned, and is at his side for the next few days.  Thanks in advance to everyone.

Tankdude, you are correct, this surgery is somewhat different and "tricky".  Our Pastor had this same surgery several years back with a complete and wonderful recovery.  I pray that your father-in-law will also recover completely with no further complications.   You and your family are in my prayers.

Just got word that the surgery went smoothly. The father-in-law is in the recovery room and they aren't expecting any major complications. Thanks all for the prayers. I will try and keep you advised as I can, but I leave tomorrow for the Montana Territory to try and force the Sioux back on to the reservation. (In other words, headed to the 135th anniversary reenactment of the Battle of the Little Big Horn as part of the US Cavalry School - http://www.uscavalryschool.com/       http://www.littlebighornreenactment.com/ )

Happy to hear your father in law is doing well. It is amazing what the doctors can do.

Six screws two rods and a hinge allow me to walk. There is an occasional click once in a while.

It looks like it's working. He is actually up and walking this morning. Appetite is good. As long as there are no signs of infection, looks like he may be able to go home tonight. Thank you all!
