TRIGGER WARNING Meet ‘Generation Snowflake’ – the hysterical young women who can’t cope with being offended

British thinktank boss says mollycoddled kids are breaking down in tears when asked to deal with controversial ideas

A top British thinker has claimed young women are in the grip of a “hysteria” which has made them unable to cope with being offended.

Claire Fox, head of a thinktank called the Institute of Ideas, has penned a coruscating critique of “Generation Snowflake”, the name given to a growing group of youngsters who “believe it’s their right to be protected from anything they might find unpalatable”.

She said British and American universities are dominated by cabals of young women who are dead set on banning anything they find remotely offensive.

“It makes me sad that these teens and 20-somethings have become so fearful that they believe a dissenting opinion can pose such a serious threat,” Fox wrote in an article for Mail Online.

This hyper-sensitivity has prompted the University of East Anglia to outlaw sombreros in a Mexican restaurant and caused the National Union of Student to ban clapping as “as it might trigger trauma”, asking youngsters to use “jazz hands” instead.

The sombreros were seen as racist

Is the sombrero really too racist to be worn in Britain?

Books containing troublesome material are now slapped with “trigger warnings”, whilst universities and student unions are declared “safe spaces” where young people should not have to encounter anything they disagree with.

Fox described astonishing scenes at an event set up to discuss whether the public outcry against footballer Ched Evans was “social justice or mob rule”.

The academic said her mostly female audience broke down in tears after she “dared suggest (as eminent feminists have before me) that rape wasn’t necessarily the worst thing a woman could experience”.

Safe space: Should youngsters be protected from troubling material?

Fox added: “I expected robust discussion – not for them all to dissolve into outraged gasps of, ‘You can’t say that!’

“Their reaction shocked me. I take no pleasure in making teenagers cry, but it also brought home the contrast to previous generations of young people, who would have relished the chance to argue back.

“It illustrated this generation’s almost belligerent sense of entitlement. They assume their emotional suffering takes precedence. Express a view they disagree with and you must immediately recant and apologise.”

Are some ideas too controversial to be heard?

Generation Snowflake has also created a social minefield for young boys and men, who risk being labelled “sex pests” for twanging a girl’s bra at school, Fox continued.

She said women were opting to stay at home and socialise on the internet due to overblown fears about predatory men.

“There is a strand of self-absorption and fragility running through this generation; all too ready to cry ‘victim’ at the first hint of a situation they don’t like,” Fox concluded.

“We need a younger generation that’s prepared to grow a backbone, go out into the world, take risks and make difficult decisions. Otherwise the future doesn’t bode well for any of us.”

Will you join me in offending them?  It's for their own good!  :eyebrows:

Not to worry - they'll be the first to be eaten...

I think you're on to something...

A Humble Suggestion

Sean Moore | June 8 2016 Or, A Swift Solution to a Generational Problem

The 19th Century American writer Charles Dudley Warner (and not, as many people believe, his better-known friend, Mark Twain) made the famous remark that “Everybody complains about the weather, but nobody does anything about it.” Since eccentric billionaire and possible super-villain Elon Musk is doubtlessly working on a machine to dominate the very clouds themselves, that maxim may not be true today. But there is one thing everyone seems to complain about without offering any solutions—that puzzling, confusing, frequently-frustrating generation known as Millennials.

It seems hardly a day goes by where I don’t read an article, overhear a conversation, or see a news segment about how these young men and women lack ambition, are over-entitled, require “Trigger Warnings” and “Safe Spaces” to shield them from ideas they disagree with, are abusing drugs and alcohol at an alarming rate, and/or are enchanted by the ideas of affable lunatic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders. Clearly, this is a generation adrift.

And there are a lot of them. A few minutes spent searching the web places their numbers somewhere between 75 and 90 million, with the Census Bureau pegging the number at 83.1 million. That means that there are more of them than the previous champions in the Huge and Self-Important Generation Game, the Baby Boomers.

Thankfully, the oft-discussed Youth Vote is notoriously difficult to mobilize (see “abusing drugs and alcohol” above) but it’s clear that we’ll need to do something with this roiling mass of navel-gazing hipsters before they sober up, come to and figure out which day the election falls on and turn us into the next Venezuela—but what?

Well, I’d like to suggest that we eat them.

Not all of them, of course. While we’ve been speaking in broad and sweeping generalizations thus far, there are quite a few people in this age cohort we would sorely miss were we to, well, dispose of them. A system of deferments could be set up to include our brave young men and women serving in the military, people studying in the STEM fields, professional athletes, and anyone who is particularly attractive (I’m only human, folks) for starters.

Eating Millennials makes sense for a number of reasons. First off, they’re constantly complaining about the rising cost of college tuition. The laws of supply and demand tell us that when a resource becomes scarce, it becomes precious. Imagine colleges and universities actually having to fight to fill their lecture halls with the best and brightest of the non-digested. And laying off a good number of their more worthless humanities professors to boot.

It will be good for the economy, too. Suddenly, vast swaths of the unemployed will vanish, and hiring managers will no longer have to waste time on half-hearted jobseekers asking if their start time is “a hard 9:00.” Seniors looking to supplement their pensions with part time work will have new opportunities as baristas and clothing store clerks, while shoppers in these establishments will be encouraged to spend more by dealing with competent and courteous staff for a change. Sales tax receipts may see an initial dip, but these will be offset by a decline in government expenditures on terrible graduate student art projects, people in their twenties mooching off their parents’ insurance, and trendy light rail lines.

The best part of this plan is the way in which it will appeal to the Millennials themselves—by capitalizing on their fondness for Mother Earth. Imagine how much less of a Carbon Footprint the United States would have if tens of millions of feet were no longer treading our fragile soil. Millions of iPhones and Priuses (or is it Priusi?) would no longer be plugged in to charge on the electrical grid. Thousands of organic kale farms could be turned back into majestic forests. Ditto for the whole city of Portland, Oregon. At last, we can tell these young men and women, every day can be Earth Day!

Of course, some people—mostly moralistic scolds and cowardly Millennials now clinging to the lives they’ve heretofore been complaining about bitterly—will object to the ideas of cannibalism and large-scale slaughter this plan entails, but Barack Obama himself spoke just five years ago about the need for a “Sputnik Moment” that would allow the country to unite and solve some of its more pressing problems. The question now becomes this: Can we, as a nation, come together and finally do something about these meddlesome kids? Yes we can—over a meal.

KNOW YOUR MEME:  Trigglypuff

Trigglypuff is the nickname given to a Hampshire College student who was recorded loudly protesting in the audience of a University of Massachusetts Amherst event titled “The Triggering,” which featured a discussion criticizing politically correct movements on campus hosted by conservative vlogger Steven Crowder, Milo Yiannopoulos, and Christina Hoff Sommers.  She was given this moniker for her resemblance to a Pokemon character, jigglypuff.  ( http://www.squishtronic.com/newimages/Art/trigglypuff-in-kanto-THUMBNAIL.png )'

Though each snowflake is unique and special, this one takes the cake (and eats it Too!)...

We must weaponize #Trigglypuff and stop the social justice agenda by making her the face of it

MIKE GWILLIAM

Trigglypuff is a microcosm of what happens when we let the complete utter nonsense of 'radical feminism', 'safe spaces', 'trigger warnings' and 'social justice' overtake science and rational thought.

It is the final form of everything that wishes to destroy us.

If we ever want to have a future, we must put an end to the social justice mentality that is infecting our youth. It's time to tear down the walls of safe space cuckoldery and build a generation of free-thinking individuals who don't ***** and cry at the very thought of something they don't agree with.

We are becoming a society of crybaby idiots. It would be funny if it weren't true. Take a look a Trigglypuff's OkCupid page.

Trigglypuff+s+okcupid+profile+you+may+kn

It would be a pretty hilarious parody of radical social justice warriors, but sadly it's not a hyperbole. This is REAL.

This is the kind of person who would benefit from being told to go to the gym, lift some weights, and get over herself when she was growing up.

But we saw what happened when Christina Hoff Sommers told her to stop acting like a child in the now ultra famous viral video. She whined and reacted like a bloody toddler. No, actually, toddlers don't even act like that. She acted like a complete ***********.

As Paul Joseph Watson pointed out in one of his ever brilliant videos, Trigglypuff isn't the only SJW who could have benefited from a parental spanking growing up, or at the very least, being stuffed in a few lockers – assuming they'd fit.

Luckily, these idiots were caught on camera and were given equally as demeaning names. Carl the Cuck, AIDS Skrillex, Big Red are just a few.

It gets worse still. If you think idiots like this will never hold office, you're kidding yourself. We have one in Canada. His name is Justin Trudeau. And he will fight for the rights of convicted terrorist to keep their citizenship, just like any beta male social justice warrior would.

Schools are enabling students to become complete ******* with their anti-bullying initiatives, left-wing ideologies, and safe-space bullshit.

It's time these morons had someone in their life tell them 'no'. It's time we look at imbeciles like Trigglypuff and use them as an example to show just how insane SJWs are. They're straight up bonkers.

Do I sound angry? You bet I am. Because I'm sick to death of the inmates running the asylum.

I'm a firm believer in survival of the fittest. We're no longer teaching kids to survive. We're teaching them to complain and demand. Essentially, we're raising a generation of bloody communists who want the government to run everything. And the only place government runs things is straight into the ground.

Bullying causes kids to realize that sometimes bitching about everything and whining isn't right. They learn that if they act like losers, they'll be treated as such. And because of this they will grow a back bone. It's like teaching a dog that no, he can't **** on the couch. Heaven forbid SJWs ever have pets.

Truthfully, I can't see things getting any worse than Trigglypuff. If they do, I don't want to live on this planet anymore.

But what we can do, is stop them from spreading. Because mark my words, they are. Drastic measures must be taken.

Trigglypuff serves as a warning of what happens to SJWs when they've gone too far. She must become the face of the SJW movement. No one, no freshman or highschool student will look at her with excitement. Only contempt.

And contempt is exactly what SJWs deserve.
