Witnesses said the group of ‘spies’ were tied together with a rope

Witnesses said the group of 'spies' were tied together with a rope and lowered into a basin filled with the corrosive substance until their bodies began to melt.

A source told Iraqi News: "ISIS terrorist members executed 25 persons in Mosul on charges of spying and collaborating with Iraqi security forces.

"ISIS members tied each person with a rope and lowered him in the tub, which contains nitric acid, till the victims organs dissolve."

Nitric acid is a normally colourless highly-corrosive mineral acid normally used in the production of fertilisers.

However, it can also be used to decompose living tissue.

The barbaric execution of the 25 Iraqis was carried out in the ISIS stronghold of Mosul, in the north of the country.

ISIS jihadis still control large areas and key cities including Mosul, which Iraqi authorities have pledged to retake this year as part of a US-backed strategy to defeat the group.

The Pentagon now estimates ISIS has lost almost half of its territory in Iraq

A US defence spokesman said: "The number right now in Iraq is about 45 percent of the territory they once held has been recovered.

"The number in Syria is anywhere between 16 to 20 per cent."

Well if you've seen the ISIS be heading videos in the past, which international video forensic experts admitted were likely faked with high level technology, then it's hard to believe this report as well.

If you're not there witnessing it firsthand, it's never 100% believable.

There are just as many if not more that are not fake.

ISIS Burnt Alive 8 of Its Militants in Bakery Oven Who Escaped Anbar Battlefield

Sources in the ISIL-held city of Mosul North of Iraq disclosed that the terrorist group has burnt at least eight of its own members after they escaped from the battlefield in Anbar province.

"The ISIL burnt eight of its members in a bakery's oven on charge of fleeing battle with the Iraqi army in Rataba region," the sources said, adding, "Then the ISIL (Islamic State , ISIS , ISIL , IS and Daesh) left the burnt bodies of its members in the Mosul's streets to make its militant aware of the terrorist group's harsh response to such cases of treason."

Last week, the ISIL executed 25 people in Mosul by lowering them in a vat of nitric acid. The men had been accused of spying on ISIL on behalf of Iraqi government security forces.

According to witnesses, the 25 alleged spies had been tied together with a rope and lowered in a large basin containing nitric acid until their organs dissolved.

Earlier this month, provincial commanders in Anbar province disclosed that government troops made remarkable advances in Rataba outskirts and were likely to seize back the strategic city any hour now.

"The Iraqi security forces are now only 20 kilometers away from Rataba city," the Iraqi media quoted Commander of Rataba military operations Major General Hadi Zarich as saying at the time.

Major General Zarich said that the ISIL has laid bombs in all bus stations and restaurants along an international highway in the Western part of Anbar province.

"The Iraqi army, volunteer and tribal forces have liberated 60 kilometers of a road between al-Sakar and Rataba city," he added.
