A source familiar with the Office of the Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi, said on Tuesday that its Council of Ministers did not take place today because of a public holiday.

The source said in an interview with (long-Presse), "The Cabinet did not hold its meeting on Tuesday, due to a public holiday prescribed, the anniversary of the martyrdom of Imam al-Kadhim."

 

The Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi, the Sunday (the first of May 2016), to disrupt the official working in Baghdad on Tuesday to secure the visit of Imam al-Kadhim.

Having spent time over there - I can say, they do like days off.   Seeing how they operate at breakneck sped the rest of the time - heck, it's deserved.

They do have a martyr for every day of the year - but don't give them any ideas. Probably jump at the chance to become democrats

I would think with the chaos and urgency that they've encountered recently they would over look a holiday and get moving on things.    But Im obviously wrong.

they should not take any more holidays until they pass all the necessary laws needed for their country to function properly, first and foremost, the HCL.   After that, they can holiday 364 days a yr.
