Is Trump the Emperor With No Clothes?

As anyone who as been on this site for any amount of time knows, I have not held back on politician bashing.

If there ever was such a thing, I am an "equal opportunity thrasher".

It's a curse that comes from a deep love of America, rooted in a personal commitment to follow the teachings of Jesus Christ, which results in an almost fanatical devotion to search out the underlying truth in all things.

It helped guide me to the realization of so many self-proclaimed "Christian" politicians who were anti-Christ posers, selfishly selling out America to the highest bidder.

Last week I mentioned in a post I was concerned about Trump because I didn't see where he had the internal compass required to perform as POTUS.

My reasons were simple, not understanding America's founding documents meant he did not have the thought process required to guide every decision.

Last night, Trump proved that for right now, he still does not understand.

While to some of you the HR Visa program is an abstract concept, to thousands of displaced Americans, the skilled foreign worker program has destroyed their lives, rendered their years of college useless, and shattered their families security.

Last I checked,( about two years ago), there were around 100,000 HR visas issued every year.

They are visas issued to a corporation, not a living human. It is when companies declare they cant find skilled Americans for a tech job, and so must go out of country to locate talent.

The problem is the result of basic corporate greed combined with the soul-less detachment of zero compassion, empathy, or patriotism, which is defined by the uninhibited pursuit of maximum profits irregardless of the consequence's.

The list of HR Visa abuses is extensive. There are large corporations, like Microsoft, that have huge condominium complexes exclusively occupied by foreign workers who have displaced Americans.

These workers cannot just quit their job, or they will be sent back to India, China, Taiwan, or wherever they came from. They are forced to purchase one of the condos that was vacated by the last visa holder. They are paid 1/3 to 1/2 of what the equivalent American scale is, but took the job because they thought they could make a fortune to take home in a year.

Unfortunately, they discover far too late that by the time they are "compelled" to make the overpriced condo purchase, deal with the disrepair issues, taxes, and other living expense, they are often left struggling from check to check, never able to send money to family, or save.

I know first hand, as I have had conversations with several individuals on multiple residential campuses, the desperation, frustration, and anguish is heartbreaking. These are intelligent humans, just working as hard as they can to build a life for themselves and their families. I understand that, I appreciate all the time and energy it took for them to get their degrees, the dedication it took to say goodbye to their families, and the courage it took to come to America all alone, thousands of miles from loved ones, determined to do whatever it took to offer their kids the best life possible.

I see the resolve as they talk about making a plan to try to break away from the corporate stranglehold on their lives.

There are some success stories, I also personally know two individuals that came here as software engineers, realized their hopeless situation, and figured out a way to break out. Both of them designed programs they were able to market, found investors, had their HR visa transferred, became a corporate officer in a startup, and got a green card. Each of them did it independently, I don't know if they even know each other.

For every one of the successes, there are tens of thousands of broken dreams.

On the other side, I have also known well paid engineers that have had their jobs outsourced. Have helped them get their homes ready for sale because they could no longer afford the mortgage.

I've seen grown men break down and cry, talking about having to pull their 12 year old out of music classes, a preferred school, forced to sell the boat they dreamed of all through college, or the marriage that didn't survive the financial stress.

The only ones enjoying great success from the HR visas are the government and corporations.

The visas ain't free or cheap, and in spite of the high costs associated with relocating workers, training, etc, mega corps are making mega bucks.

The flip flop by Trump is a purely business focus. A totally pragmatic approach, devoid of all "problematic" hindrances, like constitutionally sound, or ethically correct.

If the HR visas are allowed to remain as they are, America's standard of living will continue to fall, as more and more four year degrees are turned into yesterdays newspaper's.

They are one of the biggest factors driving down good paying American jobs.

Not to mention, they are not in line with constitutional guidelines.

HR visas are only a symptom of the completely broken immigration "system".

We have highly qualified people trying to get into America through the proper channels, spending tens of thousands of dollars, waiting 15 to 20 years, only to get rejected, while our southern border is largely unprotected, unskilled freeloaders are pouring in, determined to never work another day in their while sucking down "entitlements" for life, and extra security is being provided at this moment by volunteer groups of patriots because the border patrol is so understaffed.

Supporting HR visas may just be a ploy by Trump, hoping to win over the establishment RINO's just long enough to get into office.

Trump has obviously been several steps ahead of every other candidate since he tossed his hat in the ring.

On the other side, if he really is performing a flip flop on such an important issue at this late stage, is this an indication of what to expect in the future?

Will we see him declare a day after swearing in that he has decided the Mexico wall is a stupid idea, or that after examining the trade details with China that he has decided to let it ride?

The trade deficits with other countries are a result of moronic "free trade" deals, and "favored nation" status, which almost eliminates tariffs, in combination of Free Trade Zones, (FTZ), which have decimated American Manufacturing.

Trump hasn't specifically mentioned eliminating either of those, only promised to "renegotiate" deals with specific countries. China is only taking advantage of opportunities and exploits in our own laws. Trump doesn't have to work out a deal with any of them, just fix the broken system, and he should know that.

The rhetoric makes for good sound bytes, but in the end is just as empty as is the democrats promise of socialism.

It may be time to try to perform an honest self-examination.

I have thoroughly enjoyed the Trump Dynamic. He has taken the political establishment and turned it upside down.

That has been long overdue.

But now that he has announced his "reevaluation", are you ready to accept whatever he decides to change his mind on?

If we couldn't get rid of Obama with all his hateful and destructive actions, you can bet we will be stuck with any other future POTUS.

Lacking the "internal compass" that only comes from a deep understanding and embrace of the founding principles, Trump may well make many more decisions which could adversely affect America.

I love America. I believe in her promise of individual freedom, and fervently hold onto the hope we can one day actually experience capitalism, not the statism they parade as the faux parallel.

It is ours to have, an America that is truly the home of the free, but only is if we are also the land of the brave.

Each of us has to be brave enough to make a stand....JMHO...DM

PATTY ANGEL -- DIVE's post here explains why we feel the way we do about Trump and hence,

continue our vetting process of him.

That beating dealt us by SKEETer in the other thread over our belief in doing so was unwarranted for just the

reasons presented here by DIVE

There is more to Trump than he wants our eye to meet....  we're still not ready to buy.  :confused2:

Yep I think there is something to him.    He knows what the politicians do, say anything to get elected and that's obvious by their debates.   It's sickening the rep party is having their own war.   I want to vote for Trump just to spite the establishment of career politicians.    Look at what

Boehner did when he left his speaker of the house job.  Nice budget dude.  Take from social security to pay for these refugees coming in that they can't even tell us if they are terrorist or not.   Taking away from seniors who live on a fixed income in order to support the refugee and terrorist with free housing, food, and medical insurance.  That's just the tip of the iceberg on this budget.  Not a word on the media.  Big hush.  By by career politicians.  Sick of their self serving lip service.    Why do they always become rich after they do a little time in the house/senate?  Cause they make the laws for them and not us.  They laws are under the Just Us system.  That's why hil lary is still running all over the country pretending to be innocent.  Above the law.

Man, it's really sickening how the media has been really silent on this budget.  It's a joke.    Look at Sanders running as a socialist.  Since when do we want our country to be a freeloader country?  Boldly he says this, and the joke of free education is a very nice gesture but he has to know you can't pay for that in this "O" welfare country without totally enslaving us to work and get our goods from gov alone.  SLAVES!

We are running into uncharted waters.  Pray for America and our leaders.   Just my opinion, I guess I wanted to vent.  It's so crazy where this country is going.  Good ole fashion biblical principals could only do us good.  Love is more powerful than hatred.   Remember the mustard seed.

I'm working on offering a way to make a statement designed to get Trump's attention.

Hopefully it wont be limited to a cease and desist order.

Will post a thread later.

Hey Sweethearts, good afternoon.

I read through the aforementioned comments, and wonder if there was a misunderstanding.

I just learned all about those things, and it almost cost me a dear friend.

There are a LOT of people reading between the lines with Trump.

Maybe, if we can all get together with one voice, we can make ourselves heard before it's too late.

Amen my brother, amen.

Yes my friend,  we are into uncharted waters, it's been over a century since Americans have been able to wrestle the helm from the elitist's that usurped out country.

The whole reason I think Trump may yet be the one we need is because of his ego.

As I stated when he first announced, if he stays true to his ego, he wont be able to do anything without considering the legacy.

If that is the only persuader, it's up to us to convince him a constitutionally correct governance is the ONLY legacy that will make him a superstar for eternity.

I personally do not want fame, only want enough money to live, and want nothing to do with telling an nation how to live.

If Trump likes the fishbowl, great, let's make sure his glass house is in order.
