Quick Trump Question

With the Trump/Cruz battle taking center stage, ignoring the fact the media is ignoring the fact of the Clinton treason, I have been struck by the energy spent.

First, understand, since 1900 AD, America has had a constitutionally motivated presidential candidate get elected two times, three if you include the JFK tax cuts and infamous EO.

William Harding and Ronald Reagan the only bona fides.

Harding was POTUS after decades of various progressive "modern" liberals. It was his short one term that brought so much prosperity it kicked off the "Roaring 20's".

After that period of abundance, the progressives swayed the lazy and overconfident into the next series of liberals that led to "crappy deal" Roosevelt, who enslaved everyone that wasn't black,(the blacks were already property of the American Plantation through the non-emancipation act.

Hopefully most reading can still remember, or are familiar, with Ronald Reagan.

That's it. It has been an establishment lackey of one type or the other overtly and subversively chipping away at every pillar of America that has held the office of POTUS every other time.

Have American Conservatives become so demanding they insist on a "Purist  for POTUS"?

Reagan only got the GOP nod AFTER he agreed to accept his most hated collectivist rival, George Bush as his second.

By today's conservative hyper-inflated standards, that alone would have been reason enough to destroy Reagan's "wishy washy flip flopping".

Trump has in fact been the "poster child" of conservative principals through his words and actions for decades.

This whole battle with Cruz is nothing more than a means to an end, once the candidate is chosen, we will enter an entire new reality, and both of them know a new reality brings new rules, and friends.

Trump is not a "perfect" conservative.

But if you take a realistic look at what he did with how he started, familiarize yourself with in-depth ramifications, and then step back to look at the larger picture perspective of methodology,  identify the cause and effect of various events, you will understand two things.

Trump has in fact been the "poster child" of conservative principals through his words and actions for decades.

If you had more money than you could spend in your entire life by the time you were 40, would you have been able to avoid the indulgent misstep that follows most sports and hollywood stars?

All I'm saying is, if you want to judge by achievement's, the lack of trump sex scandals, insider trading charges, drunken displays of elitism, the general lack of any "corrupted soul" media scandals so routinely blazing headlines ad nauseam, the ensuing silence only screams volumes in acknowledgement of all virtues conservative.

Is a "purist" really the only possible solution, when Trump is a conservative realist in every sense of the term.

Apologize for the short post, I still have a few thousand neighbors to talk to in the next month, have to start wearing out the shoe leather.

Great observation, as usual DM!  And I concur... there's got to be a fine line distinction between purist conservative and establishment conservative.  I will always admire the original apolitical roots of our founding fathers, who either gave up everything or sacrificed everything for the cause of liberty... with the intent to return to their respective ways of life after their political service.  I believe the country is ready, more than ever, to return to a sacrificial based servant... over any established, or career-bent politician.

Well, hopefully, at least more than half the country. The most stupid among us are for either a self proclaimed Socialist or a self serving, career criminal-politician. I know...redundant, right?
