Just pointing out one thing out of so very many.

The 2016 Iraqi budget law has been published in thr Gazzette. That's it, it's the real deal! Locked in stone (except they make constant adjustments after the fact any time they want to, but whatever…).

So… where's the "RV"?

Obviously there's no new rate, no HCL.

So tired of all of the lies, misleading posts, super extra reading into articles and rumors/statements taken out of context. And especially tired of the hopium. People getting bashed for making unbiased statements of FACT in these very forums.

I guess we have to be quiet or only post positive things supporting illogical arguments and inferred reasoning from badly translated articles?

Thank you.

I continually find it odd that anyone has any kind of expectation, much more that they get disappointed and angry!  Personally, I have never questioned the how, when, or why.   Why do you people put yourselves through this?!!!!  No sympathy here!  Go about your lives!

Really?

Why did you decide to get into the Iraqi Dinar as an investment?

How would you attain your Dinar?

When did you want to do the above?

Same goes true for buying a candy bar....

Hey DJ... yes, really!  I can tell by your line (and others') of questioning, we just have different composure... and I think you took my outlook in the wrong context.  So, not really sure what a candy bar has to do with it!  LOL

I bought my dinar as a speculation in 2010... and thankfully found this site to enjoy all that goes along with it!  Well worth the money spent!

I want and ultimately expect a decent return, but my demeanor dictates poise and patience... as there's nothing I can do about it.  So, why listen to anyone?!!  Thankfully, at least Adam has a similar demeanor to associate with.

What am I missing with all the whining and frustration... other than we have different thresholds and composure?

I do like a good candy bar though!  Thanks for listening... you won't EVER get any commiseration here!

Good luck to us all!

Your absolutely right Jax your not missing a thing. I too appreciate the site. And yet the frustration is evident in many members. Many because it has caused them a change in lifestyle or comfort of living. That causes stress, anxiety, anger, and frustration. I can only talk on my behalf as you can only speak on your behalf. As I stated in another post, each member has to make their own choices to when to sell their investments or how long they wish to keep it.

I sometimes wish that I had never told other friends about this opportunity ten years ago. But it was their decision weather to invest or not and how much. I somehow feel responsible although I am not. Same goes for the newbie member here. If they see a post or article that doesn't make sense or needs a better interpretation. The old members try to convey the history.

TQueezy, its funny you posted this. I like to say, based on the views I read here, "Oh Look! A grain of sand moved in Iraq, its time to RV!" This is exactly what you are referring to on these forums. Every little thing that seems to be related in one way to foreign exchange rates or laws passed in Iraq, people jump up and down and exclaim its time RV! (Not everyone on here does that.) There is a reason why people also say do not invest in any more than you can afford to lose. Most in here would go to a casino in Vegas or Atlanta and say, I am going to take this 20 bucks and grow it into a Million. Then they start listing all of the things, either in their mind or on some sort of medium, they are going to buy with that money they so easily won. When they lose that 20 bucks they come out of Vegas and will exclaim, Vegas sucks! or they had a bad dealer. Whatever excuse they could justify losing the money. However if they said, with this 20 bucks I am going to have fun until its all gone and they lose it all, they have a lot more fun and are likely to return. The point here is invest your money but not your emotions. I know that is a hard thing to do, trust me. You ride the roller coaster of ups and downs long enough and you will never want to do it again. I am sure most that do that on here will probably go on to either spend all of their money in a relatively short time or never put another dime in an investment like this one again unless of course its their 401 retirement fund. So sit back watch the people jump up and down, push em out of the way if you have to but most of all, patience is a virtue. Hope that helps.

For the record, once again, the HCA is not and never will be the HCL. There are nine oil producing regions in Iraq, the Kurds are one of the nine. The HCL must also be passed in its own separate legislation. It will then be financially accounted for in the budget but the HCL legislation will never be put into the budget. This is one of the biggest misnomers around here that the HCA will magically translate into the HCL. There are too many other things that Iraq has to account for that the HCA does not address, like each and every citizen gets paid based on the sales of the oil as a nation not from one region. This is why the HCA will never be the HCL and vice versa. Every citizen getting paid is just but a small part of that larger picture called the HCL. Again there is a lot more to it than every citizen getting paid.

So instead of getting down because this year was just not the year, sit back and have some fun with the people that hoot and holla it is going to RV because a grain of sand moved in Iraq. I have a blast on here and I am usually laughing almost every time i come on here.

By the way, I'm of the same demeanor as you Jax, I bought only what I could afford to lose in 2010 and have just been patiently waiting for something to happen, not expecting it to happen at all, so I don't get really disappointed ever and I also don't really ever get too hopeful or excited.

I'm voicing frustration at people who swing too wildly or stay stuck on one end of the spectrum or the other.

Good Candy Bar?

Here's two "Great Candy Bars" for ya.......but you have to go to Canada or the northern border states to get them...coffee_crisp_chocolate_bar.jpg?h=263&w=3  949b17e42f28281e5fdaa61ea39e8271.jpg

OR tell Whatshername.....she's a"Candy Distributor", she'll send you a whole box full.....at your expense of course.

Great Thesis Theseus!!

Why can't we just enjoy and have fun. Life is what you make of it.... Smile!

Agreed but not only that, my Friend...Outside events / occurrences might help too...Smile...

I'll keep hoping ( but I am a lot more disenchanted than I used to be in the beginning of this "adventure"...)

Got mine working as a contractor in Iraq in 2004. I knew it was a long term investment, so I stuck mine in a shoe box and try not to think about it too much.

If it hits, I am a genius! If it never hits - I am a dummy! (Nothing new there!) LOL

That's how I got my stacks of dinar. Not myself though but a family member who was working for a contractor over there around the same time.  You are not a dummy though and it has already hit for us. Not the fortunes that we were expecting though but we have at least double our initial investment because we got in so early. It's the relatively newcomers who are just breaking even on their initial investment.  Look at it this way, say you invested a $1000 back then, where do you think that $1000 would be today?  Probably spent on some consumable or old tech you've tossed out a few years ago or whatever.  Here you have that 2004 $1000 in an investment sitting in a box worth roughly double now. That's not too shabby imo.

Very good job TQueezy, boy do I agree with ya bro.

It's not any fun any more. I also think it will be years before you see a RV.

I don't believe anything that comes out of Iraq or Any Guru.........Period........

Why would I believe them, they have been wrong for 10 years now. D DD DUHHH.....

I believe it will happen sometime, it's a good Investment, I think. I'm staying in for the Long Haul.

If I die before it happens, my daughter has been instructed what to do with it.  Us old investers just say, GO RV...........
