BAGHDAD / Baghdadi News / .. Central Bank announced on Monday, rising sales to $ 160 million auction sale of foreign currency after yesterday sold $ 153 million.

 

The bank said in a press statement received / Baghdadi News /, copy of "The size of the amount sold today reached 160 million, 116 thousand and $ 46, priced at 1182 dinars exchange rate to the dollar, and with the participation of 25 banks and 21 companies for the fiscal conversion."

"The amount of remittances and credits amounted to 136 million and 126 thousand and $ 46, while the quantity sold was 23 million in cash and 990 thousand dollars."

I believe the Urban Dictionary has a different definition ...

 

Pre WW II slang for an independent, assertive/aggressive woman. Usually in show business, a broad is a singer, dancer, actor or business-woman who sings loud, parties hard and is often abrasive, sarcastic and in-your-face. A variation is the "classy broad" which implies she has either been born rich, snagged herself a sugar-daddy, or has succeeded on her own.

Broads are generally moderately attractive or better, are never seen without their best dresses and perfect makeup, and know how to compete and win in a man's world. In some pre-war Hollywood films, broads are portrayed as gangsters' girlfriends or even their accomplices or gun molls but that was rarely the case in real life. ok I asked grandma what a broad meant to her...she said it was usually a very rough woman...hung out with men and could usually drink them under the table....usually an undesirable woman.

 

grandpa....a gal that could hold her own in any circumstance. drinking, fighting, mothering...someone you did not mess with..but out of respect...(ok maybe fear he whispered)

 

LOL


I asked if grandma was a broad.....he said she is whatever she wants to be and it was not for him to decide......then he rolled his eyes...lol
