US general: Now we understand what Saddam intended in sayings "You will open the gates of hell"

Shafaq News / American retired general and former commander of NATO , Wesley Clark said that it is clear now what Saddam Hussein, head of the former regime in Iraq

meant in his famous words when he said "You will open the gates of hell " if his system would be overthrew.

Clark said, in an interview with Russia Today channel, that "we did not understand what Saddam Hussein meant when he said in 2003 that you will open the gates of hell if you overthrow me, now everything is clear."

Clark added, "The Middle East is sinking into chaos, and people become imbued with fear."

Clark said "to achieve a decisive victory , it is necessary to unite all the forces that are fighting ISIS organization , including the power of Assad's government, the Russian army in Syria and the Syrian groups, including the Free Army, backed by the United States."

He stressed the need for all to face ISIS organization, pointing out that a political agreement must be reached about the future of Syria.

sadly Saddam was correct even though he was a mass murderer and practiced torture on his own people he ruled with an iron fist and they feared him as a leader.. now the gates of hell have truly been opened.

saddam wanted to sell oil in euros instead of the petrodollar.. the bush crime family couldnt let that happen. Ghaddafi of lybia wanted all muslim nations to start using the gold dinar backed by true wealth for oil. his fate was sealed as well.

History is subjective. No real truths... We tend to believe what truth we want to believe.  There is really no reason to tell people to " do there own research.

 

Hussein like many other countries wanted and want off the oil for dollars system.. And a collapse of the oil for dollars system scares the crud out of the Federal Reserve. And IMO  if we see more countries ( other than the axis of Evil ) dump the Petro dollar we will have massive inflationary problem.  Bretton woods agreements would probably fall apart shortly after. Just my opinion which is is not worth much.

But the ISIS strife began before M was ousted. It wasn't until ISIS began their rampage and the Iraqi army dropped their weapons and ran from them that the leaders of Iraq kicked M out. And I still say that ISIS was turned loose on Iraq by M. ISIS was supposed to move in, take control of the goverment. M would run off to Iran 800 billion richer. In all the confusion of the take over no one would ever know that M embezzled all of the money from Iraq. I can almost guarantee you that M had rigged it when ISIS was moving in on the green Zone whoever was left behind would blow it up, with M's double in there. It would have all played out like a 2 star rated movie, predictable at every turn. Yet all the evidence of embezzlement wiped away and ISIS not ever figuring it out on their own. The whole thing was so diabolically insane that his party started spilling the beans to other decision makers in the country of M's deceptive practices as they were not aware ISIS would be part of the picture show. They got scared when they realized M was merely opening the gates of hell himself and making his great escape with his money. It was only then that they understood the true depth of M's insanity and got him kicked out and Abadi elected as the new PM. I would put money on it also that M was donating portions of his ill cotton gains to Iran's favorite political party to gain favor and have somewhere to run to when the Shite hit the fan....
