Hi SGTFury,

I understand you have some very strong feelings on this.
Many of us do and that is our divine RIGHT.

Please understand that I am also a MOD on DV.
We see no designation here as such.

I appealed in a kind way to you and TPSprayduster to keep your comments from becoming personal attacks.
No one did any such thing.  Our differing opinions are not as you are (attempting) presenting it here.

I urge you once again in this way to do so.
Once again -- how can you possibly make us both change our way of being, thinking, bantering with one-another
because you - personally fail to understand .

By all means, express your opinions about public figures, policies, world events, etc.
We do -- and you're here telling us we can't and NOT TO...!  SO which is it..?

However, personal attacks against other members, name calling, and derogatory remarks are going too far.
That has NOT happened !

I've hidden your posts which go too far
None of them have, except yours assaulting & attacking us !

and have asked other MODS and Adam to review them to make sure I'm right.
You're off the mark on this one, and we think you know it.

If they agree, they will stay hidden.  If not, they will be unhidden.
Our posts have danced on the edge periodically over the years,
but we have never had to be admonished the way you have here tonight.

It is over-stepping, unfair, overly-critical, and apparently QUITE PERSONAL.

We stand by our solid banter... and so do many, many, many others here.

And next time you want to admonish someone here, IDENTIFY YOURSELF AS A MOD,
AND POST THE WARNING LIKE A PROPER MOD.

You'll notice our history (2-3 times) in all these years has been taken care of by the MODS professionally, and succinctly -- as it should be  -  not with lengthy dissertations, scolding, and paragraphs of what seem to be personal ramblings . Not very MOD-like at all.

We'd sure appreciate it.

Seems to me we are talking about ending the root cause of this mess TP.

Namely ISIS. So you in all your grand wisdom think that we should do nothing ?

Hmmm   Just sit on our arses and wait for the same shat to happen here.   That your plan TP

Come on there`s not a person on this forum who doesnt hate what happened over there

and feel for the people that lost loved ones.  So get off your high horse TP

***///

Agree 100% DOG !

Will all of you Armchair Quarterbacks, still be speaking when they deploy thousands of troops to battle and they are killed and disabled.  Will you still be hooten and hollering about Obama?  128 people lost their lives to some hairless, balless follow along dumbasses who will rot in hell.  Instead of banding together, we talke about President and politics.  A sad state of affairs, i walked those streets in the mid 80s and i still have friends and loved ones there.  Maybe we should think about them instead running your mouths about politics.  No respect for the fallen i see.

***///

When any of us believe the 'president' bears serious responsibility for the way isis, daesh,

any radical muslim terror groups he refers to as "the jv team" have evolved on his his watch,

we're going to call it like we see it.

We're not being insensitive to your personal connection to any tragedy --  we're mad as hell.

If you are still too raw as a result of this awful experience, maybe you need to step away and heal some other way.

You may not feel your fight is with the 'CIC', but many do.

On the dead body of one of the terrorists was found a Syrian passport.  He was one of the poor refugees.  People, wise up,  Islam is NOT a religion of peace.  It is a religion of 'pieces'.  It is coming to a porch  near you.  Our Idiot and Chief has protected these people too long.

***///

We must fight back against hobummer's plan to allow thousands of these "refugeees" from

invading us here like France allowed them to do and now regret...

And your Senator and Congressman is not the only way.

Go to:  ACT FOR AMERICA (dot) ORG now and you'll see what we mean !  :salute:

P.S. These a$$ wipes would never dare to take us on in a more conventional. We send 50 of our guys to kick them out of Sinjar Iraq and see them run like the wusses they are. What will they do when we get ten thousand boots on the ground. As we should have done before the pullout.

***///

Couldn't agree more, NYK !

Some here believe that hobummer's POLITICALLY-MOTIVATED act of pulling US out prematurely is a non-issue.

Good to see many here know better. :salute:

I dont think Berry has a choice any more. As bad as he wants to stay out of it

I think this may be the final straw. and

lead to

this.

***///

Maybe now the cowardly House & Senate will finally man-up, put on their big-boy pants and do their job in this regard,

as it isn't entirely up to hobummer -- no matter how many Executive Order pens and phones he has !

As you have seen how some posters can be when you have a difference of opinion. Tjokie, thank you for your response. I think it will be smart for me to hit the ignore button. When dealing with those who tend to disrespect a moderator. As I have said I walked those very streets in Paris thast massacre took place and for fury to just pipe in and claim a divine right to do so well I am going stay above bs. If you never been there why run your mouth. It is NOT always about politics.

Wow you have been to paris so that means that only you can feel their pain.

hahahahahahahahahah    yeah  right.

same ole TP

some things never change.

Thats like saying those who have never been to New York should have kept their mouth shut when it came to 9-11.

Ahhhh  thats kind of a silly  childish concept isnt it?

Go in peace TP although over the years we have butted heads.

You are a vet and you DO have my respect.

But you seriously to work on respecting others

I don't know dog, Barry is pretty good at sitting on his azz doing nothing but protecting the enemy. I don't see him doing anything but protecting His brothers in arms(Muzzies). He'll find a way, or create a way of staying out of it!

Ladies, keep it under control.

Tjokie is a MODERATOR - it says so on his profile pic. If you begin a campaign against him, YOU WILL LOSE - capeesh!

There is no reason for you to attack him because he asks you to tone down your diatribe. Would you do that to Sgt. Fury himself if he told you, you were overstepping?

Take a deep breath and DROP IT!

TP: Thank you for your service. I salute you.

          Respectfully, I disagree with you.

Why is it that when a hot and passionate discussion comes up, less than 48 hours after a most tragic event occures ,  we who passionately post always seem to get threatened with Moderator retaliation? Seems wrong in some ways. Guess we will be told if we don't like it to go ???? Oh well, one of the aspects I do not like about this otherwise beautiful DV site. Guess this thread should get pinned right about now.

NYK,

It is not the passion that is being moderated.  It is the negative expression of that passion being directed at other members who express their opinions as well.  You expressed your opinion in the post quoted with respect.  Absolutely no problem there!  The problem comes when a fellow DV member is bashed, bullied and degraded because their opinion doesn't match someone else's.

Well nyk I look at it this way, no one will always agree and I have chose to ignore those who believe they are above others that is my thoughts. No one's feelings get hurt no one riding to the rescue. I keep it simple, I have seen people get mad and take their ball and go home here at DV. If i do not anything good to say about someone, then I keep it to myself. Do I call the potus every name under the sun? No I do not because my military experience does not permit me to nor do I choose to even though I am a Republican. I give respect when due, do like all of his policies no I do not. Anyway new York I like to keep it simple, if you disagree with me that's fine No harm no foul. Have a great day, if you choose to have at it with a mod, then you have have chosen the path you wish to walk. Adam choose his team and i respect them even I disagree with them. Have a good one.

I'm going throw my 2 cents in.  I watched all the major news channels this weekend trying to get as much info as possible, and true to form, they all jumped the gun on the number of casualties.  It's the nature of the MSM beast.  They all have their different angles at which they attack the situation.  MSNBC is all about the victims, victims families, random witnesses, and obscure witnesses who might or might not have seen a thing.  CNN spreads the wealth with victim angles, terrorist origins, and the ongoing investigation.  Fox News, after the dust settles, is all Obama and his failings, all the time.  It's what they do, and it's what their demographic prefers.  Essentially, DV represents a microcosm of all of the above.  All that being said, I personally believe we have witnessed a game changer and will pray for all of our military personnel who will probably get a front row seat to the carnage.  I pray for this country, as well as, all the free nations of the world who will continue to be impacted by this terrible scourge released upon our world.  As always, just my opinion.

GO RV, then BV

the ~French president Francois hollande just went on TV .......

this is what he said (translated for you non french speakers)

"To all those who have seen these awful things I want to say we are going to lead a war which will be pitiless, because when terrorists are capable of committing such atrocities they must be certain they are facing a determined france, a united france , a france that is together and a france that does not let itself  be moved even if today we express infinite sorrow"

quite poetic ...... I would be surprised if some serf came up with this

Sounds good, but this socialist phoney is no Charles Martel, who stopped the first muslim invasion in 721 and by 732 had driven them back into the Iberian penninsula where they hung on for another 800 years.  Along the way, Martel was the grandfather of Charlemange, who consolidated European power to keep the islamic virus at bay.  Except for Napolean (who was actually a Corsican), France hasn't had a leader like that since then.  Their "massive" bombing campaign against the ISIS stronghold consisted of 20, yeah twenty, bombs droped nearby, not on, the bad guys so as not to violate Obama's rules of engagement - which are actually just rules AGAINST engagement.  Wouldn't want to hurt, or even offend, his islamic brothers, but has to pretend to oppose them for US domestic political purposes.  He is a traitor living in a psychoticly imaginary world.  He cannot go soon enough.

What I don't understand is that most of the attackers were known to law enforcement for one reason or another and yet they were allow to go their merry way in and out of the country and around France.

Example:

PARIS (AP) — France identified a 27-year-old Belgian who once boasted about killing "infidels" and fought for the Islamic State group in Syria as the mastermind of the Paris attacks, and President Francois Hollande vowed Monday to forge a united coalition capable of defeating the jihadists at home and abroad.

And now all of a sudden they are finding and destroying IS bases in Syria?

(AP) In hopes of killing Islamic State organizers and trainees, France overnight launched its heaviest airstrikes yet on the city of Raqqa, the group's de-facto capital in Syria. French authorities said Sunday night's bombings destroyed a jihadi training camp and munitions dump.

Which means everyone knows where these guys are and not doing a damn thing about them.

I'm starting to believe Gearoid O Colmain
