What do you figure 1 riel will be worth ? Just a best guess. If I remember correctly, there is 10 riel in a toman.

worth more than 1.00.....in law priced against gold and silver value at over 1.00. If they LOP and thats a big IF.....TRUMP said they will be a POWERHOUSE during 2016-2017 debate (second I believe), much sooner than peope think! (his words notmine)

aslo remember that prior to their currency going shite like i mean really shite, inflation was single digits and and low......iran cbi devalue there currency and moved it to what it is now, there was an article confirming that they devalued it....so they can revalue it.....Iran knows TRUMP will bomb the shite out of them he kiled their number 1 General in Iraq terrorising Iraqi government officals and running hit squads on government officials. With Iraq close to changing their exchange rate, Iran must move fast there cash cow has dropped.....They will have a rate over 1.00. Those that have bough rial have knowing that it was a 50/50 bet also lets not forget that they have forex agreements in place with Bueau de change outlets giving the access to over 1400 outlets world wide also remember they were also paying for travellex ads!!!!!!!

Iran plans to slice off four zeros from national currency

The Iranian government submitted a bill to the Parliament on Saturday, proposing the removal of four zeros from the national currency and the conversion of its unit from rial to toman, Report informs via IRNA.

The administration of President Massoud Pezeshkian stated that the goal of the legislation is to reduce the setbacks caused by long-lasting inflation and the decline in the purchasing power of the national currency.

As long as you realize is is an actual LOP!! Again because of their high inflation this is the total opposite of what Iraq is doing!!

not sure but wouldnt count on it being worthless.....there are back office deals being done between TRUMPS and Irans Government! I expect it to be around $1.00......

The efforts to introduce toman as currency were proposed in 2016 and launched in 2021. The plan was to remove four zeroes compared to the rial prices, and official rial banknotes have been redesigned to have the last four digits in much paler color to help people adjust to the change.

Although the plan looked good on paper, the economic reality for most people has not changed.

And then currency reform stalled under the administration of late President Ebrahim Raisi.

His successor, Masoud Pezeshkian, revived the initiative last month. Iran's parliament is due to vote on a bill to renew the process in a bid to curb persistent inflation and economic instability, although the date for the vote has yet to be set.

yeah but remember inflation was at 2% at the time sanctions were imposed and iran devalued it...inflation was normal and under control with sound monetary policies at the time of sanctions.....

ask yourself why are they talking about it now under new leadership at a time when the flow of USD out of iraq to iran has stopped......because they have to remove zeroes and adjust rate same time or soon after Iraq....dont be supprised to see iraq go then riots in iran then iran go! or maybe rumours about TRUMP doing deals with Iran prior to him taken over are true!

now this was back in 2017, i am told that Iran has been behind the scenes in the months leading up to TRUMPS inauguration that they have been negoitating....I have also read articles late last year where Iran was in discussions again about the landmark nuclear....now put this together with the article about them bringing forward the legislation to delete four zeros so the real question is how close are we.....with TRUMP in i see Iran dealing and deleting four zeros, they will be as strong as Iraq in Trumps work "power house" much sooner than people think"
