if they delete the 3 zeroes wouldnt this make them 50's and 100 dinar notes and possibly with new value by end of year?

Yes....but if that was the case (000's off the note) WHY print notes WITH 000's on them??? that makes no sense... delete 000's but yet print more notes with 000's on them.... A$$ backwards if thats how it ends up turning out...  :twocents:

People, everything, and I mean everything that they have said up to now indicates and increase in purchasing power. I challenge anyone to show how a 50000 dinar note or 100000 dinar note increases purchasing power.

there has got to be something lost in translation in these articles.

yep arabic translation is hard to decipher.. i agree something is off here.  We try to wrap our minds around their language when translated into english but it is difficult.

im with you on that but this could being a translation error, for them this may mean they are printing the 50's and 100's and wording it as 50k and 100k because the zeros havent been removed as of yet.

this is just a temporary measure to reduce to the note count, they said they were going to destroy the notes that were traded in and the total notes out in circulation would be reduced

their goal is to have a total note count of 1.8 trillion notes I think, which they need this amount to move forward, totally separate from the "delete the zeros" project

JMHO this would be a good thing to move forward simple cause it temporary to achieve the goal aka requirement they have stated with needing 1.8 trillion notes in circulation, but honestly it may never even happen, its on the table just in case they need too
