There is an old riddle used in leadership and sales training that has been around since the flood.  It is about five frogs.  Five frogs are sitting on a log.  Four decide to jump off.  How many are left?
The answer is “five.”

Why five?  Because there’s a big difference between deciding and doing.

American politician Frank Clark said, “What great accomplishments we’d have in the world if everybody had done what they intended to do.”

Iraq has just a few individuals who are always in the “decision” mode, but start dragging their feet when it comes to the doing stage.  Quite often it never gets done.  There is another law that a lack of action puts into action, the Law of Diminishing Intent.  Simple stated the law says, “The longer you wait the greater the odds that you will never actually do whatever it is you have decided to do.”

Iraq  has been good under the leadership of Albadi to “get things done.”  But things have slowed down in the past two months. Let’s just hope that this is doing time and not decision time.
