I just got around to reading your tribute to your father-in-law ... I'm sorry for your loss - wish I had read that earlier as I'm about two weeks late by now. But you've shown us all that no matter the hardship in life, perseverance and a positive attitude will always get you through!!!

Everyone here has several memories intimately connected to one or more of their songs, all we have to hear is a couple bars and full recall including smell and emotion come flooding back.

Not just a band, but music interwoven to the fabric of that which we identify as self.

Even the above is a pathetic attempt to relate the significance of not just Frey, but Bowie, Weiland, Cole, Clay and so many others we listened to as we became the humans we are today, and in whose loss results in a significant change in our own perception of reality.

JK That is so true. Our pound puppy took right to us. The shelter people were amazed at how she took to me. They told us she had been abused by a man

and she did not like the men at the shelter.

animals know.....we rescued a black lab about a year ago now...she is wonderful....she sleeps under the covers on my feet....drives hubby mad...but she is so wonderful...I just do not understand how some people can abuse animals.....

ok this would bother me...a lot
