Black suspect dies after Baltimore cops break his spine in ‘brutal’ police beating

Do you also know the good cops and what they do?  Or is it just the bad that you know?  Just wondering.

That same question could be asked about anyone, cop/non-cop.  Sometimes the most

upright perons in a community can end up being a serial killer.  We never truly know

who someone is no matter how much we have seen from them.

Instead of demonizing our cops maybe some of you armchair quarterbacks need to get your butts up and volunteer as a reserve at your local department.  I believe that you could not do it.  So many of you have big mouths and little hearts.  I do not think so many of the critics of the police would not have the nerve to try and walk a mile in their shoes.  Maybe if you stood in their place you would be less likely to be so stupid as to make some of your comments.

Sweety i have been beat up by the cops.

On many occasion.

Dog lead a very reckless life as a young man.

and not one of those times the cops kicked my a$$

I didnt deserve it.  Yes it seems that the cops obviously went to far in this case.

although I say that not knowing the full story here. and yes it IS a

tragedy when any young man loses their life. But alot has to do with people putting themselves in to

these positions where they put themselves at the mercy of the police.

this can be avoided by not breaking the law.

I learned it. and if I can learn it anyone can.

So my dear very sorry to have offended you but

I`m thinking you`ll probably get over it.

Thanks Dog ! I very much respect the fact that you take some of the responsibility for your own actions. That's the problem these days it seems that there is a complete lack of respect for life. As far as raising hell, I was young just like you and I did my fair share. I didn't rape, commit robberies, or involve myself in drug deals gone wrong or kill anyone, but when someone runs from the law  they should expect a hard take down.

some of these responses is flat out ridiculous.  i wonder if some of you are joking or are you really that jaded.  many of you scream at obama for treading upon your rights and he is YOUR commander in chief but when the law enforcement system is exposed for its divisible and prejudiced treatment of minorities where THEIR rights are evidently being tread upon, you scream "well quit breaking the law".

HYPOCRITS!  pick a side, strap on your boots and hold fast to what you say that you believe.  when it comes to violations of constitutional rights, it cannot abide in partiality.

the police force cannot act as enforcer, judge and executioner; period!  you can't restrain a man, taze him, and once subdued, commence to beating him within an inch of his life to make an example out of him.  where does that lead society if this is our method of justice???  i am appalled by these responses.  you actually blame the ones whose rights are treaded upon with the excuse of, "try walking a mile in the cops shoes??!"  oh my Lord!

but all in all i am grateful for your ridiculous postings because it shows me just how far this "Christian" nation has come.  your ability to hide behind your keyboard in anonymity and post how you really feel helps me see past your smiling face.  for that i am grateful.  not one posting that reads "we have an evident problem" or "we need to become better people" or "Lord help us to love one another".....NOT ONE!  the high volume of postings read when it comes to minority slayings by the establishment has been strongly in favor of constitutional rights violations upon a select group.

and the senselessness is documented time and time and time again.  but as long as its not YOUR rights being violated i guess that means "...liberty and justice for all":

  • defenseless woman stripped of clothing and beat on the side of the road without ever being indicted (link)
  • man beaten in jail cell with hands restrained and sent to emergency room for sitting in his car on side of road to wait out rain storm.  cops bring him back to jail after treatment and hold him under bail for property damage.  "he bled on our uniforms"  (link)
  • and now this original posting where it is coming out that somewhere between being restrained and arriving at the police facility, the man is brutally beaten to death.

RIDICULOUS!!  but thank you because forums like these have taught me some things that i never would have guessed

BS

Not one of these post say that it is ok for the police to over step their boundrys and hurt anyone.

We know its out there were not stupid. Good cops bad cops  blah blah blah

There`s just as many or more native americans , hispanic , white, being beat right along with the black.

But that dont make the papers does it.  No just the black storys.

So give your righteous indignation a freaking break . I knew a 16 year old white boy who was shot in the back by a black officer

in the late 1960`s for stealing a case of beer. Wow no one took to the streets for him. Black cop not even reprimanded.

Why cause the kid ran the cop told him to halt and when he didnt he got shot in the back with a load of double 00 buck.

Of course theres police brutality in this country and it aimed at all of us just not black. and

its going to get worse as we continue this downward spiral in to socialism .

So sit back point your finger and blame the white man. My peoples been doing it for years.

It gets you no where. Take fricking responsibility for your OWN fricking actions.

Stop trying to blame the other side. "Oh you are all so callous Oh you people just dont care" Oh you people are so bad "

BS

Stop your damm whining. Lets come together and we can fight this thing together. we are ALL Americans

we need to be united black , white brown , yellow, fricking pink for god sake.

united we STAND

DIVIDED we FALL.

Its THEM thats dividing us.

and you eat it up like its a chocolate sunday.

this is a divide and conquer they have tried to bait race wars for years and guess what they are doing now? trying to bait a war between citizens and corrupt cops its not about race any longer its about the people verses the police state and its gearing up for you know what but this has been going on for years but now the media is fanning the flames and more and more people are catching it all on their phones in this digital world we are living in now.  Oh  and its gonna get much worse. they want control and they want martial law but they must win over the sheep first and foremost to speak about how bad its gotten be cause now the people are fighting back and how they want BIG brother to step in and control us. Its been building up the past 5 years. IMHO 2016 may be the year of Chaos!!

you changed your message.  previously your response was "quit breaking the law."  in another post you i cite you saying, "the thug got what he deserved."  when i show you incidents where nobody is breaking a law but waiting out a rainstorm while sitting in their car your response is new.  not sure if you had a sudden change of heart or if you are double minded.....you confuse me - stick to a side and knuckle up.

ferguson police force was discovered by federal investigation to SYSTEMATICALLY campaign against minorities.  that is not GOOD COP BAD COP people.  that is a SYSTEM.  i hope you are educated enough to understand the implications.  as a matter of fact, a finding from YOUR federal justice department has uncovered multiple systems of the same in operation across the united states (read more).

what i present to you is factual information but even then you call it a divisive campaign by the mainstream media.  no its not!  quite pushing away the facts.  these are factual reports and statistics being produced.  you can't conspiratorially erase stats.  so now it is in your face, but you don't want to deal with it because the underlying evil that it narrates threatens you.

LOL!! and george you are calling facts that i produce "emotional prejudice?"  but if i asked you to please corroborate your statement with fact and stats, you would go silent on the thread, very typical.

but i digress because no matter what you or i say it is evident that we will never agree.  i will read a federal report of systematic prejudice and brutality perpetrated by the justice system, and you will read the same report and dismiss it as false and a divisive strategy by the media.  at the end of day our perspectives will never be reconciled because i believe systematic racism is alive and well and you believe systematic racism was killed by the emancipation proclamation.

Show me where I made that statement.

You cant

Your bitterness will not free you

it will only enslave you more.

Yes if you dont blatantly break the law you got a good chance of not being messed with by the police.  I stand by that.

Now is there a chance you will get screwed with any way ?

Yes

Guess what ?

Its always been that way.

Sad way to live really.

thanks for your response dog53.  i invite you to reread this post as well as the posting on the teen killed with his hands up.  now it has come to light that the police force you were defending was exposed for conducting systematic evil upon a sect of people.  amazingly you never returned to apologize or take accountability for your words....not once.  doing so would open you up to something new i believe.

and as far as a victim, i cannot be.  i have been washed in the Blood of the Lamb.  He triumphed for me and it is through Him that i live, move and have my being.  my joy is full daily and this world is not my home.  there is nothing sad about how i live but on the contrary i am in the prime of my life while the best is yet to come.

my purpose of posting is simply to shine a light that many want to avoid concerning this world and especially this country.  it is to shed a light of truth so that people can see it for what it is.  that is all.  i am hoping to win over your prayer.  where i pray, "Lord deliver us from evil and unreasonable men" ...others are praying "Lord help the cops become more determined."  that is simply my intent.

but if i have stepped over the line and become offensive, then i have already lost and i apologize because it is never my intent to offend.  my intent is to rattle the cage of truth so that we might all see clearly what is really going on, help us pray a better prayer and take decisive actions based in clarity.

be blessed my friends

We disagree alright... on the art of argumentation.  Study it, learn it and don't take offense when your skew is exposed.

An example; I did not state your 'facts' were emotional prejudice - you pulled that out of your... hat.  Why would you do that?  I addressed your emotional presentation (which is common and why I called it old).  The facts you provide should stand on their own merit, you don't have to add any flavor to them or embellish the HORROR of racism or police brutality and, you certainly don't have to tell others who respond to your posts what they believe.

And as for going 'silent' on a thread - why did you make that up?

Here is some silence for you: "at the end of day our perspectives will never be reconciled because i believe systematic racism is alive and well..."

I sincerely believe you believe that but I can't help but notice you never seem to offer a solution... just examples of atrocities.  Like Nelg questioned you earlier, I and perhaps others, wonder if all you see are bad cops...ever see the good that Law Enforcement officers contribute to our society?

"...and you believe systematic racism was killed by the emancipation proclamation."

As President Reagan said,  "There you go again..."

Trinity I did reread My post no where in it did I write the word "Thug"

and you still belive even after it has been proven without a shadow of a doubt .

That Boy did not have his hands up.  He was trying to disarm a policeman and got shot.

Thats the facts its the facts that the grand jury found and the facts that William Holder found .

Yes they did find also that this police force targeted black citizens.  But that has nothing to do with the facts of this young man being shot.

I commend you on being a warrior for your race.

I will defend my native brothers with my last breath.

BUT  only if they are in the right.

I only try to bring to light that this unfortunate act of random violence by the police

is universal to all races. But it is your race that is constantly highlighted . It is highlighted not to bring about any type of change. But only to infuriate your people and further divide this country.

let's take it from the top my friend because it would appear that things have gotten twisted.

  1. a story is posted where a man is killed while in police custody.
  2. the overwhelming and majority response is along the lines of the police have done justly.
  3. i offer a very unwelcomed perspective that the police have not executed justice at all and, what is more, there is strong evidence of something more dangerous taking place in our country, systematic evil.
  4. i provide evidence corroborating my claim.
  5. my remarks are retorted with accusations of "emotional prejudices", race baiting, et al.

that pretty much sums up an executive view of things.  so, among this forum, we can never approach a conversation involving "solutions" when no one recognizes a problem, george.  in your eyes, all is well....nothing to see here.

firstly i sincerely apologize for misquoting you.  in my defense, responses at me were coming so fast and from different angles at the time that it became a bit difficult to keep up with who said what.  i was wrong.

the authorities in ferguson bred an environment of fear, intimidation and corruption.  to say it has "nothing to do with the facts of this young man being shot", i believe is disingenuous.  it has everything to do with it.  but lets agree to disagree on the matter because no good will come from this conversation.

i do want to note that i am not "being a warrior for my race."  please believe me when i say that i am a warrior for truth.  i love truth, i crave truth, i hate propaganda - lies - and deception.  i call a spade a spade even if it means my own heart is hurt by it.  do i believe all cops are bad?  NEVER.  i know there are good cops and i will even say that the majority of cops are good.  do i believe a system can become corrupted and breed a culture of bad, definitely.  place some of these same cops in a healthy, just, transparent and constitutionally observant system and most of this mess would go away.

but it is up to us to force the system to correct itself.  however if we see no inherent problem in the system then there can never be any forced correction.

we are not to far apart in our thinking trinity.

But with that being said I have always been a realist .

a society can indeed breed a  environment of fear, intimidation and corruption.

But I still maintain that a individual has a choice.

You can try to justify anothers choices by pointing out all the flaws in the way

he was raised. No dad around . Bad environment. But bottom line

You make the choices in your life.

I have made bad ones and good ones

Some choices you make can get you killed.

Now in this circumstance it seems this young man was given no choice.

we will see how it plays out. I read that he was initially stopped cause he

had a knife clipped to the inside of his pants. (which to me shouldnt have been a big deal)

But what transpired from the time of the arrest to the point where he needed medical help.

Yes those blanks most certainly need to be filled in.

I am really sick and tired of all the cop hating.  These people but on a uniform daily and go out into a world that increasingly hates them simply to try and protect the scum screaming the loudest against them.  It is about time people shut up and started actually appreciating the sacrifice that these people give every stinking single day.  These people get paid ^&*() but get out and do their jobs.  I would never have the personal retrain that it takes to be a cop.  Let's start appreciating and thanking these people instead of griping all the time.

Sorry but I know way to many corrupt cops including the previous three police chiefs here in town. I grew up with these guys and they are my friends but still corrupt none the less. They practice Nepotism and Fascism. They think they have more rights than you or I and they DON"T.

They are way overpaid!.  A motor cop here in town makes $120,000.00 a year !! Our last chief retired at $465,000.00 per year.  He gets 90 % of that for life and he's only 56

There once was a time when they served the public . Now most just serve themselves.

Its a job and nothing more. Is it dangerous?  Mildly yes but I open Hot 480 V panels daily and this is far more dangerous,

Yes there are some good cops but IMO they are not the majority.

let's take it from the top my friend because it would appear that things have gotten twisted.

  1. a story is posted where a man is killed while in police custody.
  2. the overwhelming and majority response is along the lines of the police have done justly.
  3. i offer a very unwelcomed perspective that the police have not executed justice at all and, what is more, there is strong evidence of something more dangerous taking place in our country, systematic evil.
  4. i provide evidence corroborating my claim.
  5. my remarks are retorted with accusations of "emotional prejudices", race baiting, et al.

that pretty much sums up an executive view of things.  so, among this forum, we can never approach a conversation involving "solutions" when no one recognizes a problem, george.  in your eyes, all is well....nothing to see here.

A conversation can occur when you restrain yourself from telling me what I think.  It's actually quite insulting for you presume (on more than one occasion) that I am incapable of  understanding issues that challenge our society and even more than that, that "in your (my) eyes, all is well... nothing to see here."

How dare you to claim to know what I have seen and the manner with which I respond to it.  Your implication that I am unconcerned, purposefully blind and uninvolved with issues of race and Law Enforcement reveals an ignorant edge that precludes balanced conversation.

Unless I agree with your interpretation of facts, studies, and analysis I am incapable of dialogue?  What then, does that make me... someone less?

Your perspective that Law Enforcement is part of a dangerous and systematic evil taking place in our country is disturbing.

What is your solution?

Yes, there is a problem with rogue law enforcement. It

is becoming an all too common event to see the abuse

that is administered to some folks. To these officers, they

place little to no value on life in general. This is a national

problem and it is a global problem. Most never pay attention

to the suffering of societies that more developed countries see

as being 'less valuable', so a blind eye is given.

This goes back to our own twisted thinking and our own prejudice,

not about race in general, but about the value of ANY life that does

not meet our strange definition of WHO is valuable. It is also based

in denial that we truly are ALL the same in many ways, and come from

the same creator. We differ in our cultures, our habits, our religious

preferences, and of course our opinions. One thing that we rarely

differ upon is the desire, no matter who or where one is from, we long

for TRUE freedom and TRUE liberty from those who oppress. Most

unfortuntely never witness this and often remain under religious and

political bondage...and of course financial bondage. Most truly desire

to live in peace with others, but that is discouraged by the use of 'labels'

that do nothing but divide. Often these labels come to us from the religious

and political side of life and too many believe it and use it to justify hatred.

No, not all officers are bad, in fact some law enforcement officers

are actually very quality people who do care about those they have sworn

to protect and take their jobs quite soberly and seriously. I wish this was

much more normal than it is, but there are many who still view law enforcement

as an integral part of societal life, doing their best to control the lawless and

protect the law abiding.

A solution? My own opinion is that until we as a people, regardless of what we are

born into, our culture, etc., refuse to allow the tactics of 'labels' to define every

single person, and learn to respect others even when they differ with us. Remember,

we all come from the same creator, we are all born into something, good or bad, but

that humble origin should never be used to justify our bias that we are often taught

at a young age against anyone that is 'different'. If we all began to see the beauty of

individuals from every walk of life, and take the time to understand those we think we

'know', when in reality we only know what we are told, which is often not accurate and

quite slanted depending upon the source.

If this first step is ignored, no manner of armchair experts will ever arrive at a quality

solution, it will continue to be divisive, shallow in many cases, and tainted by some form

of religious or political bias. Just take a look at the religious and political threads on this

forum. What an example of both ego and arrogance, and then try and force those views

on others when people cannot even be civil about the smallest matters.

Pursue love in all things, seek justice, mercy and compassion, forget about the useless

arguments about religion and politics, and start living each day with a purpose to make

life better in each area right where you live. Anything else is noise and empty words, in

my opinion.

Thank you all for your thoughts.  :)

A conversation can occur when you restrain yourself from telling me what I think.  It's actually quite insulting for you presume (on more than one occasion) that I am incapable of  understanding issues that challenge our society and even more than that, that "in your (my) eyes, all is well... nothing to see here."

i presume nothing, george.  i took directly from what you wrote and i quote:

"Imagine if everyone chose not to break the law for one day... there would be no one for the police to beat down, slap around or intimidate...why, they'd have to start arresting each other while the rest of the citizenry lived happily everafter." - George Hayduke

according to my experience what you wrote is dead wrong because i have lived in the inner city and grew up black in america and know first hand that "not breaking the law for one day" is NOT equal to "not being beat down, slapped around or intimidated".

  • i have been slapped down and intimidated
  • my friends have been slapped down and intimidated
  • my coworkers have been slapped down and intimidated
  • my father have been slapped down and intimidated
  • my brother have been slapped down and intimidated

this is our reality.  my previous employer was forced to launch a campaign engaging the local police force of Howell Michigan to evolve in their views and thinking of diversity.  the black employees who worked the factory were receiving citations at unprecedented levels so much so that they began looking for other employment.  the company had to move fast to address the issue through educating the police against racially motivated policing.  it was so blatant and ridiculous that the company could not turn a blind eye.  the job was LESS than an eighth of a mile from the highway but every black worker leaving the job was doing it wrong and paying hundreds in fines so much so that people couldn't afford to work there anymore.

and so yes, you are incapable of understanding issues that challenge our society when i read your responses.  we can't discuss solutions because you don't recognize an issue requiring resolution.  i am not attacking you personally.  i am simply stating that until you admit there is injustice initiated, and without cause, from the authorities against the people, we can't even begin to discuss how to solve it.

be blessed.

You break the law every day.

thanks for posting Bandit795.  i wasn't even trying to go down that road because it opens up a can of worms that many are not ready to hear.  we are still dealing with the concept that "don't break the law" equals "you won't go to jail".  when from an economic perspective, prison is big business.....huge business, and there are strong financial motivators in america that want to see the cells filled and more prison complexes erected.

but we can't get to those conversations yet because many of us earnestly think all things are 1 + 1 = 2 in this crazy messed up world.  for instance until i listened to an attorney explain some things about the legal system, i use to really believe that people plead guilty because they are....guilty.  man did he rock my world with truth.  i couldn't have been more wrong in my thinking if i tried.

after years of research and digging for truth, i have changed my prayer.  i now ask God to simply "hide me and my loved ones."  i use to strive "not to break the law" but now i strive to "not offend them".  there is a BIG difference.  my greatest mentor on this has been Jesus the Righteous.

The Temple Tax

24After Jesus and his disciples arrived in Capernaum, the collectors of the two-drachma temple tax came to Peter and asked, “Doesn’t your teacher pay the temple tax?”

25“Yes, he does,” he replied.

When Peter came into the house, Jesus was the first to speak. “What do you think, Simon?” he asked. “From whom do the kings of the earth collect duty and taxes—from their own children or from others?”

26“From others,” Peter answered.

“Then the children are exempt,” Jesus said to him.

27“But so that we may not cause offense, go to the lake and throw out your line. Take the first fish you catch; open its mouth and you will find a four-drachma coin. Take it and give it to them for my tax and yours.”

Trinity and all African Americans - I humbly apologize for all the injustice you, your ancestors and relations have endured.

I would apologize from my ancestors to yours but some of mine were slaves 3000 years ago - and other escaped religious persecution and fled to what is now the north and helped blacks escape in the civil war...but I am not immune to reverse discrimination due to the color or my skin...and I am not immune to deep compassion and empathy for the trials and tribulations of yours...my heart breaks when I think of the atrocities your ancestors endured. My heart swells with joy when I think of the great successss they have accomplished despite. In humily I say may each heart find healing so we can do as we are meant to here - love each other as sisters and brothers. Amen

Ok  lets try being a little realistic here ok.

your post is stupid. Of course there`s old and new laws that have never been taking off the books.

like "spitting on the side walk" or " its against the law to walk the streets of Chicago if your ugly" or

many states still have sodomy laws. BUT in the same state there`s same sex marriage.

I think when we say "Dont break the law" It doesnt take a rocket scientist to figure out that we mean.

resisting arrest

assaulting a police officer.

Fleeing and eluding

That kind of law breaking

get it    get  it
