WOW! Can you believe it? I actually posted it twice in the same day.

Just though you all would like to know that Jack Lew was quoted on FOX Business News as saying that the financial community needs to be aware that several currencies will be undergoing a major revaluation during the next few days. We're there.

How 'bout them apples!

Treat as a rumor until it is verified from multiple sources.

(Reuters) - U.S. Treasury Secretary Jack Lew will press Chinese officials next week to adopt a more market-determined exchange rate policy, and the Obama administration thinks further yuan appreciation would help the global economy, Treasury officials said on Friday.

The comments came ahead of Lew's planned meetings on Monday with top officials in Beijing.

China's yuan was devalued sharply in the 1990s and for years China intervened heavily in exchange markets to keep it weak, raising complaints from U.S. manufacturers.

Since 2005, China has let its currency appreciate by about 25 percent, and the Treasury officials repeated statements made in February that China recently appeared to be intervening a lot less.

Even so, Lew will urge his Chinese counterparts to be more transparent about their actions in currency markets, one official said.

U.S. officials traveling to Beijing will also bring up U.S. concerns with China's regulatory policies for cyber security, which one of the officials said were not consistent with the principals of free and open trade.

Guru Exogen  04-16-2015

Looking at E1 post if that is really an E1 post it matches the intel we posted earlier that the world & coalition countries are no longer waiting for the USA to get things done anymore, & it appears that the world is now in detour around the USA mode, which is all part of the grand scheme to shift power to the East from the West.

Wooo Hooo!!!  the world just told us/corp/cabal to Eff Off!!! Way to go global peeps!!! We are the ones we have been waiting for.

another update...

I thought he (Jack Lew) that countries should allow their currencies to free float with the market. A little different, but both are significant statements. If Iraq free floats with the market......that equals RV!!

U.S. Treasury's Lew says will press trading partners on exchange rates

WASHINGTON- (Reuters) - U.S. Treasury Secretary Jack Lew said on Thursday the United States had made progress in convincing other countries not to manipulate their currencies and would press even harder for trading partners to let exchange rates move freely.

Lew made the remarks in testimony prepared for a Senate Finance Committee hearing on trade. Many U.S. lawmakers want the administration to insist on tough currency rules in trade pacts, but officials say that is not the right forum.

"We will continue to intensify our efforts on exchange rates using the tools and channels that are most effective," Lew said.

"We will build on our ongoing multilateral and bilateral engagement...to press countries even harder toward more market-determined exchange rates and to secure strong commitments on currency disciplines," he said. http://www.reuters.com

Just my opinion - The rumor section needs to be removed. It's causing lots of confusion and nonsense. There are lots of new vet's on this site that believing this stuff is true. Again just my opinion.

EBURT... that's the whole point of this thing here... :confused2:

Separate the wheat from the chaff...   :twothumbs:

we all get to see what the others are saying out there and dissect it using the myriad of brilliance we have here !

We share knowledge, ideas, opinions and humour !

Think of the RUMOURS SECTION as a fish-cleaning station...

we cut it up, (whilst we cut up! :P ), keep the good parts, toss the rest.

There are always gonna be those who say not to toss out some parts (some DO like the eyes & the heads  :( ),

but we usually come around to some consensus here....

SO enjoy it, or don't drop in... you're a free human, bro !  :tiphat:

And DO give us Vets some credit....  we're not that gullible to be easily confused by GOO-ru POOpoo. ;)
