Hello NYK.... I guess you have more than one option here in order to avoid  the "nuisance" of ads... As AM said... log on as a VIP ( that's if you are one...) and you won't see them

 

Or... You can also access site through an anon proxy  ( many to choose from, most of them free) and in that  case you won't see the ads anymore.. Only catch being  that if you do this ( access through proxy) you can't login  and therefore you can't  participate in forum activities  but you can surely read everything  without ads standing in your way..  If / when  you'll feel like  posting  instead you'll have to login regularly and  you'll have to bear the ads. Ciao

I don't mean to squabble, but I've paid for VIP before. And unless I'm clicking on ads, no one is getting paid. If revenue is based on site traffic, then anyone who makes a post or even visits the forum is contributing as even if an ad is blocked, traffic is still tracked.

 Money for nothing and the DV site for free. ......Not everybody is complaining about the adds, especially those that truly appreciate what Adam has brought to the table as an Informative website with Entertainment. This website has probably saved 3/4 of us from getting rid of our Dinars a long time ago and then we would be kicking ourselves in the azz when the dinar increases in value. Some would have even put their Dinar in a shoe box and stash it somewhere and completely forget about them. Then one day they find the shoe box and say " Oh yea, I forgot about these" then check to see if they are worth anything only to find out they missed the window to exchange them and they are worthless.

 

There are all types of people that participate on this site ....rich....poor....middle class....men....women.....aliens.....wise....smart....ugly....pretty....hot tempered.....cold as ice, but the one type that would be nice to eliminate as participants are the Selfish People.

I love the ideal of a DV members calendar and I for one would want Monielynn  on the centerfold page (I can say thin as Monielynn and I are friends)!!!  Nothing nasty just a hot picture!!!  Have to throw a few for the ladies so we will have to make sure we pick the warm months so we don't have to worry about shrinkage.  LMAO!!

Hi eburt, so sorry about the news on your heart.  What kind of news?  Last September, for the first time in my life I had 3 episodes with my heart racing and had to be rushed to the ER.  The third time they would not let me leave and I had to have a Pacemaker put in.  I had NEVER had an inkling with anything about my heart, that was my first time!!!!  The 3rd time in the ER, they would not let me leave and I was a bit scared, my heart felt like it was going to beat right out of my chest.  I had AFib. no kind of warning before!!!  I had no idea.  The Pacemaker seems to be doing the job tho, so if they suggest that to you, don't worry it is not bad at all.  It certainly seems to be doing the job of keeping my heart at a safe pace.  Good luck and God bless and keep you!!!  Will keep you in my prayers!!!!

Umbertino, seriously... do you realize that you could do a day's worth of work and exchange that pay for a 5 month VIP membership here?

 

And in doing so, you get to login and get the benefit of not only supporting the site, but also not screwing around with proxies and whatnot!?

 

I just want to say one thing... if you put the same effort into providing for yourself, rather than avoiding what other's charge for the things they built to provide for THEMselves... you'll be a lot better off.

Adam, you have a great site here and I am very used to these type of ads on other sites.  They become a minor nuisance.  You have to do what you can to keep this site afloat and I get that.

 

I would love to be a VIP, I think it would be very valuable.  I am, however," time rich" but "cash poor." I just cannot afford it.  

 

This investment alone has been expensive, for me, I am not one to take risks and I often think that this investment falls under the category of "If it's too good to be true, it probably is,"  meaning it won't pan out for anyone. 

 

This is just my opinion. I do however use this sight a fair amount and am grateful it is available without charge and so I want to thank you.

I just read Adam's weekly message and go about my day .... sorry I missed the fire fight.  This is some of the nit pickiest bunch a crap, from ADULTS !  Damn folks, grow the hell up.  I'm all for having fun but really?  

 

How did LGD not get in trouble with this one the world may never know but in the spirit of the lady from Louisiana, I just have to step up.

 

Adam has a valid point, some of you want to mooch and live off the hard work of others but gripe about how that service is freely provided for you.  I like helping other people and apparently Adam suffers from the same ailment otherwise he would have closed this site to the non-paying public years ago.  IF it helps the free loaders of society, those of us that have paid to pay and hence help provide for you too, I now get ads also.  They run at the bottom of the page and I only see them if I chose look.  Ads like Solo 401Ks and some Victoria Secret, but I like the investing the Solo way and buying pretty things for my wife makes her happy.  Happy wife, happy life. That's how Google Ads works, they track YOUR search history or they employ those evil mind reading cats and show your what you are most likely to spend money on.  If you're offended blame the guy in the mirror.  And if you haven't been offend yet, stick around, maybe Google should study it's target audience more closely or get smarter cats.  Then some of you would only get the "free phone" and food stamp ads.  Yes, you are welcome because we, the paying public, provide those things for you too.  Have a great day.  I have to get back to work now.
