Iraqi Central Bank announced on Tuesday, the abolition of the daily auction for the sale of foreign currencies.

Mrs. SD I wonder ther samething - Why would they stop the auctions if they are not planning on doing something with their currency - I been in this thing for over 8 plus years and still more confused than ever.......

Mrs. SD and Eburt, if you go to Yota's post yesterday named ' CBI stopping working ERA Currency' they said that this will be handled through the banks just as _RFJ stated above. One of the reasons was to help cut down on money laundering and terrorist financing. I'm sure this has a bit more meaning than just this but...? I wish I could cut and paste to make it easier, maybe someone who can might paste it here, hope this helps!
