DNAR...it specifically call out dealers  , what is at issue is the efficacy of the document, i.e. is it real or not, that is what I am waiting to have confirmed...like date it was originated, etc...if it is legit, then it definitely is an interesting development in this investment.  imo... :twocents:

Sorry I am blind, but where on the site does it say or reference dealers? I only see "All travellers". You're telling dealers physically go to Iraq to get their dinar? I think so, pretty they get it shipped to them.

I forgot to add one more thing.

IMO this is more relating to people coming and going in Iraq and not the import/export of goods and services.

I looked at the visahq link and under contact info for Iraq. It has a website reference but it's for Iran. The link doesn't work but it makes me wonder if that policy is concerning transporting money across the Iraq/Iran border to combat counterfeiting, and that 25 is referring to 25k and 5 is referring 5k dinar.

I don't not have proof of this its just a hunch but I couldn't find any information from mof.gov.iq or customs.mof.gov.iq.

Best case scenario. They mean 25 and 5 dinars and we'll all be extremely wealthy soon. Lol

TBomb ----I tried to contact an online rep today and this is what they told me

Jazmin Williams:Visa HQ is an expediting agency in the United States, Canada, UK, and the UAE that helps those in need of obtaining visas or assistance with their US passport. We are not customs and we do not assist with customs. Please try contacting customs for the country in which you have importing/exporting inquiries for or the airlines you're traveling through for informationhttps://www.visahq.com/embassies/

You are very welcome TBomb      ;)

How does dealers get their dinar? This article doesn't clarify stopping dealers from getting large quantities of dinar. The site refers to the travelers to and from Iraq, not businesses. Need more info.

I am not sure about this answer to you DNAR but it could possibly have something to do with the cutback from buying/selling  at the auctions. It may mean nothing but was the first thing that came to me. I am sure there is a limit to the dealers for purchasing dinar. JMO

If you look at the original website page posted by VN, the 25 / 5 dinars has been removed, along with all of the restricted items.

DNAR:  I get your drift, my take is that this needs examination for authenticity, when and who authored it...if someone does not beat me to it I'm gonna post a question for Adams chat...I am only hoping this is a harbinger and another nail in the framework for the RV soon...very impressive cogent thoughts on your part, this is something to question for sure...so for me the jury (AM) is still out on what it really means...but it looks very very positive to me.

With the lack of Customs information being gazetted (none discovered by our ever diligent T-bomb) and the discovery (DenisCanada) that this same information was posted in 2011, I doubt this is a new thing.

It appears to be relevant to travelers only.

Dinar dealers must get around this another way...usually via Jordan.

Well 11 million 660 thousand

It's the same everywhere right

That's just how much cash doesn't need to be declared

10000 dollars is good anything more needs declared

They don't want people coming in and leaving with suit cases of money

In any country

It looks like they may be using the $10,000 limit the US has to prevent money laundering.

So we were able to get it out max of 10 million at a time because it cost less than 10 grand

Larger orders needed declared

When we cash in the dinar will need declared

It looks like they may be using the $10,000 limit the US has to prevent money laundering.

I'm pretty sure that's everywhere

10 grand limit undeclared in currency

The link I posted was a travelers link

And customs deals with those traveling in and out of every country

As long as it declared you can take a million out or bring it in

They will look into the legitimacy of your money to make sure it's not illegally obtained

It's the same with banks

You make a deposit with more than 10 grand in US dollars the banks are obligated to report it to the irs

If you try to leave the U.S. with more than 10 grand US dollars worth of currency it has to be declared

If you don't its smuggling , just hope ya don't get caught

Well I had kept this to myself (I told the mod's) but my ISX broker has not been able to do any wires at all this year...

I knew that until Jan 11th the ISX was closed and no transfers inside or outside of the country during that but that closure has not stopped...

He did not elaborate but now I know why.

I can't think of any other reason for this...

This looks to be 100% true.

They can only export 4 1/100ths of a cent USD lol

The last 2 minutes AC said they removed that restriction from the website. He's mistaken.  See my post #63 above.  Also, I would rely on the US State Department website to keep up with changes in foreign countries.  It may be true, but I wouldn't rely on that.  I would verify those restrictions with the Iraq Customs Office.

ya the fellow in that video is using using U.S. rules of 10,000 usd as some sort of goal post.

Iraq just had a bunch of laws passed and now we have multiple travel visa sites saying the same thing....

And as I stated I can assure you that my broker has told me that he cannot deal with wires and has not been able to since January.

You of course don't have access to the mod section but any of the 12 mods can tell you of my post and I will paste it here

Okay so the ISX being closed along with the bank transfers (In and Out) was supposed to end on the 11th...

The bank transfers are still in effect for at least 4 or 5 days.

I got that straight from my broker.

This is the unusual that I just happen to like :)

May be nothing but the timing on this surprise closure and now unmentioned extension just seems fortuitous :)
