The Importance Of The Oil And Gas Law For The Iraqi People !

Iraq has to pass something

They can't expect to give 2 to 4 year contracts for oil drilling in iraq to foriegn companies then tell them ok see ya

The oil companies want paid the 2 dollars a barrel for 20 years

So they drill right smack into the biggest oil pocket they find and their done and get paid for twenty years

they can't say they will give them 2 dollars a barrel for every barrel of oil they produce then once everything is set up say get out now

Nor should they get paid for twenty years

I'm not sure how they will set it up

I'd like to see the revised oil and gas law

But 2007 law

I'd say forget it

It's too complicated

Maybe I'll go look at Saudi Arabia oil and gas laws or kuwaits or Jordan's and see what they did

"Law has been introduced since 2007, has not been approved for the day, nearly eight years, which is going on in the corridors of parliament and government, long lost to the Iraqis"

For those who don't remember what the draft said here is a link to the English version:

http://priceofoil.org/content/uploads/2007/03/Iraqoillaw021507.pdf

But WAIT! I thought the HCL was passed in the 2015 Budget! /s

The 2007 Draft has probably been revised but that was the 2nd revision.

Thanks for the link

I don't see anything wrong with it myself

It does say the oil after reaching the main oil pipeline is owned by the federal govt and U.S. controlled by the oil ministry

And it says the oil ministry controls all oil that leaves the country

I'm not sure the kurds would vote for that

I'm not seeing anything that says anyone can build their own pipeline out of the country besides the federal govt

This may be what the usa govt wants too

They always sided with the federal govt over the kurds on that issue

Article 21 is just 4 or 5 paragraphs about transportation of iraqi oil

Because I don't see anything wrong with it it doesn't mean the iraqi citizens don't

It was the unions that protested this oil law and the ministers of parliment who voted it down

Oil and Gas companies do not normally work on fixed dollar amounts.  Their agreements are based on percentage (%).  There can be multiple agreements for one well.  % to Construct, % to Operate, % to Transport, % of revenue sharing, etc...

He's ok he's just succumb to fretfulness like lots of other people have we all have our opinions

Thanks

It's hard sorting things out in so many different things going on in a country that's basically started over

I understood these foriegn oil company get around 2 dollars per barrel that they produce

I'm not sure if they are responsible for transporting it to the main pipeline or if it's just metered at the well

Once it's in the main pipeline its controlled by the federal govt

And any oil leaving the country is controlled by the oil ministry

Now I see why this passing will put an end to a lot of problems

Ever try doing something with out the right tools or information and ya get all frustrated and just throw your tools down and cuss at it

That's frettfulness

We all do it

To succumb to something is to kinda like unknowingly or unwillingly do something

I have succumb to frettfulness many times

When your done taking a hissy fit ya pick up your tools and go back right where ya left off and continue on or devise a new plan

I know I'm not still thinking about the iraqi dinar like I was thinking 3 years ago

I just continue on looking for different approachs

It gets tiring when you come on here and first thing you read is your negative posts...everyone has an opinion just wondering why you still hang around and spew the same ol all the time if you sold your dinars....

I think it's better to be realistic than overtly optimistic. I'm all for the RV ASAP but the fact is, dontlop is right, Iraq needs to diversify. Every time Iraq goes in for their annual consult with the IMF one of the primary things they recommend, because that's all they (IMF) can do, is diversification. Look at Abadi in Davos last week. What was his message? Market economy, diversification, forward movement. They're not going to do this on oil alone, quite frankly, because they can't.

What do you think we've been seeing for the last few weeks?

Sure looks to me like they are trying to help themselves.

LOL People have been saying that for years and years Lady Grace's Daddy. Its always look at all the progress they have made in the last couple of days, weeks, months and years   Do you know anyone from Iraq? I know several and they are the first to admit that their people are Lazy. I know you are a smart person LGD, do you really believe that they can prosper working 45 day a year on average?

Do you think oil alone will make the people of Iraq will prosper? Have you ever been to an oil field?  If so how many people do you see working them. All i ever see is those pumps working and very few people working.  They desperately need Jobs  Not handouts.

And no I have seen nothing over the last few weeks  that will create more jobs.  A country approving a budget is not progress but should be expected, don't you think.

What have you seen over the last few weeks that indicates that the average Itaqi citizen is striving to improve their lives?  Every one of them should be standing up against ISIS and joining in the fight. But do we see this?  They have 30 + million people and if they really wanted it they could remove these Thugs from power. ( No offense Dinarthug )  But they expect other countries to take care of their problems. Its gotta come from within and not from expectations of someone else taking care of them. I thought you were against liberalism and socialism.

dontlop everyone of your posts are negative and really not welcomed here so do yourself a favour and forget about the dinar and get yourself a hobby elsewhere.....your posts are getting old

What? you don't want to learn about what you got yourself into?

I get alot of the Socialdinar. LOL.  No worries. I am not an introvert.

I don't take his posts as just being negative but as being informative. I really appreciate his candor. If I wanted it sugar coated I would be on one of those Guru sites we all know and hate. The news articles are just like our news and full of spin spin spin. I can read these articles day after day and still really have no clue as to the truth.

I bought my notes and got really caught up in years ago. I had dinar blinders on for years and years   Now really consider it a game just like Vegas. The money is already gone and on the table , Just waiting on the dealer.

Enjoy the Game!.

Thanks

I'll say what Im thinking I'm seeing and looking for a response to what I'm saying not a response about me

Hey if I'm wrong show me

If I think differently than what others are saying I'm going to put out what I see

Ya don't see me going around attacking people for saying jan1 , jan7 , jan 15. , feb, 1

I've been seeing this for the last 5 years isn't about time to say it like it is

Those who attack dontlop ( a screen name ) I'm my view can't argue with what I said

They predict and predict and they are wrong and they are wrong

It's no reflection on me that they predict its on them , just like its no reflection on them for what I say , it's on me

So I realize people are becoming fretful , there's nothing I or anyone can do except try to face reality

Reality isn't calling another rv for next week

This has gone on for ten years

It's not negative to say that

It's a fact

So what I've come to is if they don't show me where I'm wrong and attack dontlop , I take that as , I'm correct

DL.

I owe you some thanks.

Because of your post I'm beginning to understand why some people have a problem

with me. I can be overbearing and irritating in my replies.

Your post here have shown me the error of my ways.

Oh and sorry that person who attacked you the other day, and got banned by Adam

wasn't me. LOL

I take great pride in my ability to use my words in a respectfully manner and

Still get my point across.

Oh and it's not always a prediction. For some (like me) it's speculation and dreams.

I've had more fun with this lottery ticket in the last 4 years than going to Vegas.

And man the dreams of wealth what joy they've been.

So stay real my friend for whatever pleasure that brings you. LOL

I'm goin back to my dreams.
