So I hope and change all you that voted for his ignorant xxx will be happy to pay 3500 a year or 1100 fine if you don't you will have a tax lean on your credit report for not paying taxes even though obama promised it's not a tax but hired the irs to enforce his theft

If your are born you owe obama now

If it were a white guy they would call him a racist like they say about voter registration

Those poor people can't afford 10 dollars for voters registration but they can afford obama fines of 1100 a year

The article s saying we will be fined for not buying obama care

Well the supreme court ruled that it's a tax

So if it's a tax how can there be a fine how about it be called back taxes due

According to irs you can't be fined more than 25% of the amount you owe

With 50% of driver's in the state of Texas driving around without car insurance - I find myself on the fense with the health insurance issue!

I have to pay extra for uninsured motorist in car insurance because 1/2 of the drivers do not obey the law, and drive without insurance!

Everyone gets sick at one time or another! Only makes sense that everyone should have insurance too!

Just my opinion..................:)

Why not give them guarenteed loans if they need them for health reasons

Why charge one person to pay for what another person is doing to themself

It's bs

If you get sick after paying one month insurance you think someone else should pay your bills ?

Take out a govt guarenteed loan and pay it off

Wait till all the law suits start

Either raise taxes on people or don't but don't lie and call it a fine the supreme court ruled its a tax so is it on your income tax or sales tax or property tax what ?

If I don't have any money I don't go to the movies

its a choice to drive

Commies need to move to communist country's instead of turning america into a communist country

Oh that's right there's no incentives to live in communists country's they are all broke the lying criminals stole everyone's money as if they earned it

So why work

Someone else will pay for it

Pay my health care bill too

The United states is the only reason the socialist countrys of Europe are not controlled by dictators

We have way to many kids coming up thru the ranks willing to surrender to socialist communism

It doesn't work

The only way russia survived was by taking over other country's and stealing all their wealth and when it was gone they just took over the next country then the next

If it weren't for the United states you wouldn't be sitting here on the Internet

The rest of the world would of kept it as a govt tool

If ya don't like america , I suggest you leave and don't try to change it

You think you are a nusance just wait and see what happens when you takers free mans freedom from him

You will be living in hell right here in the United states

Russia couldn't go any further

We drew the line in the sand and Russia died it couldn't go rob any more country's while their people starved the dictators lived like kings

Well they can all line up to bite me, or they can appoint the Kenyan to do it. Either way, it's not happening.

Do you know, if not for courageous citizens who prized their freedom and bucked the system, we wouldn't be here today? That's right. And we'd all be speaking English...

I'll give the Kenyan two options: 1) Come pry it out of my cold dead hands or 2) Bite me.

2 options where health insurance would have come in handy......1) you might have survived  2) stitches/rabies shot   :eyebrows:  just sayin.

I hope not too. But I'd be freer in jail for doing the right thing than I would be out here, willingly submitting myself as a slave to this regime.

Boston Tea Party risked jail also. Just sayin'. How ashamed they'd be of us for letting all this happen

Affordable Care Act Creates a Trickier Tax Season Subsidy Estimates May Be Inaccurate, While IRS Girds for a Flood of Queries

The first year of the Affordable Care Act is in the books, and now comes a tricky tax-filing season for millions of Americans.

The law’s requirement that most Americans carry health insurance means all filers must indicate on federal tax forms whether they had coverage last year and got tax credits to help pay for it. Those who didn’t have coverage could face a fine, although reduced staffing at the Internal Revenue Service and certain changes to the law mean the so-called individual mandate is expected to be lightly enforced this year, tax preparers say.

Meanwhile, millions of Americans who got subsidies under the law may find they are getting smaller-than-expected refunds or owe the IRS because credits they received to offset their insurance premiums were too large. As many as half of the roughly 6.8 million Americans who got subsidies may have to refund money to the government, based on one estimate by tax firm H&R Block Inc.

“The ACA is going to result in more confusion for existing clients and many taxpayers may well be very disappointed by getting less money and possibly even owing money,” said Charles McCabe, president of Peoples Income Tax and the Income Tax School, a Richmond, Va., provider of tax preparation and education. “The whole implementation of Obamacare will be frustrating for tax preparers.”

What if you didn’t have health insurance in 2014?

But the season could be a lucrative one for tax firms. Liberty Tax Service, a tax-preparation franchise, began calling hundreds of thousands of customers in November to invite them to a store to get help applying for an exemption to the insurance-coverage requirement. About half of the company’s 4,000 stores opened weeks ahead of their usual start date to provide health-law tax advice.

The IRS also is expecting more calls from consumers at a time when congressional funding for the agency has dropped nearly $1 billion since fiscal 2010, and its workforce has 13,000 fewer full-time employees than it did in 2010. Congressional Republicans opposed to the health law have said limiting the IRS’s budget is one way to slow the law’s implementation, including in last month’s budget agreement for the remainder of fiscal 2015.

IRS Commissioner John Koskinen , in a November speech, said his agency’s reduced funding would hamper its ability “to provide the level of taxpayer services that the public has a right to expect.”

To help avert problems, federal agencies including the IRS and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services in January will reach out to consumers via phone calls, text messages and emails to tell them what to expect during the tax season. IRS officials are urging consumers to file electronically for a quicker return.

The original 2010 health law had more mechanisms to enforce the insurance-coverage requirement. It required employers to supply the agency with the names of about 150 million Americans who got coverage through their job.

But the Obama administration in 2013 delayed that reporting requirement. It also widened the list of reasons a person could avoid paying the penalty if he skipped insurance coverage, exempting certain people whose insurance plans were canceled because of the law.

This year, the IRS said it is entrusting consumers to answer honestly if they had health insurance or need to pay a penalty. While the agency said it won’t reject returns if questions about health coverage aren’t answered, it said consumers who don’t answer affirmatively that they had coverage will be expected to have an exemption or request one, or to calculate the penalty they owe. The fine for not having coverage starts at $95 and ranges up to 1% of household income, which would be added to 2014 tax liability.

Some makers of tax-filing software, includingIntuit Inc. ’s TurboTax, say they have set up their systems to reject incomplete forms. But tax preparers say there is little to stop a filer from asserting they have coverage, thereby avoiding any penalty, even if they were uninsured. IRS officials note the tax system for years has been built on voluntary compliance, and the agency said it could use its regular enforcement tools, such as asking for more documentation or auditing.

“As always, taxpayers are responsible for the accuracy of the information on the tax returns that they sign,” said Anthony Burke, an IRS spokesman. He added that “the vast majority of filers will have had coverage for the full year and will simply need to check a box to indicate that.”

The IRS also said it would allow taxpayers who have applied for—but not yet received—exemptions from the individual mandate to put “pending” on their forms so they don’t have to delay filing and obtaining their refund.

In addition to determining who has to pay a penalty, the accuracy of tax credits is likely to pose challenges. Because people often incorrectly estimate their future income, many Americans may have gotten subsidies—based on their own projections of 2014 income—that were too generous.

Tax credits for people eligible to use the health law’s exchanges would, on average, be too high by $208 if they were based on the applicants’ most recent tax returns, according to modeling by Vanderbilt University assistant professor John Graves. The IRS said some filers got subsidies that were too small and will get larger refunds.

When the health law was passed, the amount of money that could be taken back from lower-income people who overestimated their incomes was capped at $250 for a single person and $400 for a household. Those caps were significantly raised in an effort to fund Medicare physician payments in late 2010, to as much as $2,500 for a family at the upper end of the income-eligibility range. They were tweaked again in 2011 as part of a tax change to the health law’s 1099 reporting forms that required more people to reimburse overpayments in full.

Working man AND small business owner, that would be me, and you are correct.  Ironic in that the Government was arguing before SCOTUS that it was not a tax.  So…at this point there can be no argument as to which President passed the largest tax increase in history.  Obamacare will dwarf the Social Security tax signed by FDR.

Yep they are calling it a tax

It's 1% and rising

The national health care industry is 20% of the gdp so eventually I'd say our taxes will go up 20%

I don't think workers will get a 20% raise as the employers drop their health care plans

They will be giving that 20% to the govt to pay their fines for not providing health care to their employees

So corporate tax will actually be 45% a level that's not sustainable

This health care law is designed to destroy Americas free enterprise system

The fines will be around 2500 per person that can't afford the 4000 dollars for the cheapest health care plan

What are they gonna do with the hobos

The bums

Round them up and put them in jail? That costs even more to house them feed them and provide them with health care

This is never going to work but I guess the liberals social commies want to see it doesn't work so america will be torn apart so the ignorant can see they are ignorant but they will lie and say the republicans did it

You are correct in the “1% tax” is a complete fraud, and 20% is probably low too.  SCOTUS ruled the entire Obummercare is a tax.  That would include the taxes collected from the medical device and drug manufactures, which are just 2 of 19 taxes identified in Obummercare. http://www.atr.org/full-list-obamacare-tax-hikes-listed-a7010#ixzz1zTXuZUYl

At this point 85% of those that have signed up on the Federal exchange are receiving insurance subsidies, which simply means someone else has to pay for their insurance (like Social Security and we all know how that program is working now!).  And since the 85% figure came from the Obummer administration I suspect it is actually higher since their SOP is to flat out lie when the truth looks bad.  It appears obvious that the $500,000,000,000 taxes over 10 years will not be enough to cover the subsidies.  If the spineless, or better yet neutered, Republicans try to “chip away” at the law instead of repealing it completely, it will just live on and continue to morph into an even bigger quagmire than FDR’s Social Security.

Ya I'm talking about 20% on top of what we already pay

Single around 40 to 45% federal taxes plus state taxes and local taxes and sales taxes and gasoline taxes and property taxes

And those with family's on the plan will pay less you know the more you spend or use ya pay less

Adding medical expenses to what we already have isn't free like the ignorant liberal communists think
