 BAGHDAD - morning, 

the Regional Director of the World Health Organization said that Iraq will be in the forefront of countries that implement health roadmap. 

According to a statement of the Ministry of Health, this assertion came during a meeting between Health Minister Adela Hammoud Hussein with the WHO Regional Director for Dr Ala Din Alwan, where the two discussed ways of cooperation between Organization and the Ministry and the support of the Ministry of Health to implement the joint health programs and emergency preparedness across the country and the subject of the displaced families.   

showed Hammoud he was stressed during the meeting to raise support from the World Health Organization to higher levels for the advancement of the health situation of Iraq is offering a symbiotic service to the citizen, and improves performance health in all provinces in the country, and raise the efficiency of health and administrative staff and opens the way for the development plans. 

For his part, Dr Alwan said Iraq will be at the forefront of implementing the health of the road map endorsed by the General Assembly of the United Nations because this plan has significant social dimensions, and will contribute to the the advancement of the health situation in Iraq. 

 noting that the organization and the ministry also agreed to implement an action plan to accelerate the pace of work in the area of reducing maternal and child mortality.
