Khandan - reached the Kurdistan Regional Government and the federal government after a series of discussions held by the Kurdistan Regional delegation in Baghdad, an agreement on the export of oil from the Kurdistan region and the share of the Kurdistan region of the general budget. Under the agreement, the Kurdistan region will be issued 250 000 barrels of oil per day, as well as 300 000 barrels per day of Kirkuk, through Company (SOMO).The two sides also agreed to share the Kurdistan region from the federal budget, amounting to 17%, and the agreement is valid as of 01/01/2015.

BAGHDAD - ((eighth day))

The Cabinet approved on Tuesday the oil agreement between the federal government and the Kurdistan Regional Government, which provides for delivery of the Kurdistan region of at least 250 000 barrels of oil per day to the federal government for the purpose of export.

 

The prime minister, in a statement received by ((eighth day)) that "the Council of Ministers decided in its meeting held today, to approve the agreement between the federal government and the Kurdistan Regional Government, which was attended by the Prime Minister of the Federal Haider Abadi and President of the Kurdistan Regional Government Nechirvan Barzani."

 

"The agreement stipulates that the Iraqi oil belongs to all Iraqis and the Kurdistan region to hand over at least 250 000 barrels of oil per day to the federal government for the purpose of export."

 

She noted that "the agreement includes the export of 300 000 barrels per day by the federal government of the province of Kirkuk fields through the oil pipeline in the Kurdistan region of line."

 

She prime minister that "the conferees also agreed to allocate a percentage of the federal allocations ground forces of the Iraqi army to the Peshmerga forces, according to population ratio as part of the Iraqi security system."

is this one of those things that needs to be in the Gazette to be a done deal ?  or just being placed in the budget ? Someone call the FAT Lady and get her ready. Ant this something MALIKI was in office for 8 yrs and did nothing, The New Guy gets it done in 90 Days. I will BET 50k Dinar we have an RV before 03/30/2015

Great news indeed !

Based on what I'm reading, the HCL would  go into affect next month, but until the deal is signed on the dotted line, either side could object and the deal falls apart.

 

Let's hope they stick to the plan!!

Good point, Brinx, but in light of everything that has been happening, I don't see it falling apart.  Yet, it is Iraq so here's hoping...
