Markinsa
ALERT: Silent “Killer” Bug Is Now in America Thanks to Illegals %5BPHOTOS%5DThis is the kind of report that nightmares are made of – especially if you’re a resident of Texas. And it’s made the worse because at first glance, it looks fake. Unfortunately, it isn’t. (H/T Washington Post)Pay attention, because there’s a new threat in the U.S., and it looks almost identical to the common “stink bug.” (H/T MadWorldNews)The is a small, nasty, deadly, parasite-carrying bug that not only sneaks up in the middle of the night, but guess where it’s preferred biting location is? Your face. Yes, this bug, which is affectionately known as the “kissing bug” due to it’s preference to bite your facial area, is scientifically known as the reduviid, a type of triatomine bug known to carry and transmit parasites. When the bug attacks your face, it leaves what looks like a run-of-the-mill bug bite from a mosquito or fly, but the aftermath of the bite is what’s making Texas residents dangerously sick and can ultimately kill. The reduviid bug carries a terrible parasite called Trypanosoma cruzi, which causes Chagas disease in humans. Chagas is an inflammatory, infectious disease that causes damage to the heart and central nervous system and can easily kill a human if not treated immediately. According to a Baylor College of Medicine epidemiologist Nolan Garcia, “It ultimately ends up causing heart disease in about 30 percent of those who are infected.” He added, “We think of Chagas disease as a silent killer.” According to recent reports, the reduviid bug has already infected 17 people in the Houston area. There’s no telling how many more are infected but haven’t sought treatment. An expert in parasitic diseases for the CDC, Susan Montgomery, estimates that there are more infected persons in the U.S. How has the reduviid bug made it’s way onto U.S. soil, since it’s endemic to Central America? You guessed it – illegal immigrants who cross the border every single day. They are carrying the bug in clothing, suitcases, and other items. It eventually makes its way into Texas and begins its destructive course. Yet another reason to seal the borders to protect Americans.

vietnam1969
Thanks Markinsa for this information. Saw something about this on FB but didn't read all about it. Will be on the watch for then now. Saw a "stink bug" the other day but it could have been this one for sure.
