Twilight News / demonstrated Saturday afternoon, hundreds of young people in front of the UN headquarters in the city of Arbil to demand the independence of Kurdistan from Iraq.

kurdistanisnotiraq.gifThe protesters waved banners inscribed with "It's time for the independence of Kurdistan" with the Kurdish media and presented a memorandum to the UN office in Arbil.

Said Gunnar Namik member of the Preparatory Committee of the demonstration for "Twilight News" "We pretend today to convey our message to the world public opinion and tell them that we are people of our population of more than 40 million and we are still without a state at a time when we are ancient peoples of the region and Antmta Our Independence".

She also said, "The time has come to get Astqlalana and Kurdish experiment during the past two decades Athbpt for all he's worth that people have a state and independence."

She said, "If we look at the political, economic, administrative and social development in Kurdistan, we will see that he made a beautiful model in the Middle East."

Great place to hold the demonstration though, lots of world press there to see it.  And that is what they wanted.  lol

 

Those Kurds have got some smart tactics going on from time to time.  hahahahhahahahahaha

 

And what the heck, it USED to be called Kurdistan before it was called Iraq anyhow.........
