George Hayduke
Do you mean the one that decided to take back its own oil fields in the 50's and then Washington overthrew their democratic government and installed the murderous Shah of Iran? Do you mean that one? There is just a little bit more to the history than what you are implying. Democratic Iran in 1951 was much like Venezuela when Chavez was elected; kinda half democratic and half dictatorship. And... it was the British MI-6 who initiated the coup on behalf the Shah when Mosaddegh continued to consolidate power that demographically revealed family, friends, and cronies. Additionally, it was the British that virtually built all of the oil fields in the middle east and provided the technicians to operate them by way of legally structured profit sharing deals where the host country was paid handsomely for not doing anything. Mosaddegh wanted 50% of oil revenues. When Briton said no way, Mosaddegh seized the British petroleum infrastructure in violation of international law. That 'little' theft plus Mossadegh's growing friendship and support of the pro-Soviet Communist Tudeh party opened the door for other possible political considerations, thus, the MI-6 and CIA developed operation AJAX which led to the political demise of the wonderful George Washington of Iran... TrinityeXchange
don't leave the banksters out of your history tour. at some point, some countries wake up and realize that the banksters are swooping in to take up all the resources from the people. for some reason they seem to remain in the shadows of peoples' recollection of history. i don't know why we american's act as blind as we do to these same criminals since they have conspired against us from the onset of the republic. they have had their hand in just about every war and even today did much to foreclose on many of our homes and our american dream. but nope, we continue to tell the story without ever including them when it is their actions that have shaped much of history. iran was a friend to the united states until the banksters got ousted and then, just like that, they became enemy number one. you decide for yourself what that means. heck, they did the same thing to YOU. before 1913 there was no tax on a man's God given right to exchange his labor for pursuit of prosperity. then came the banksters, subjugated the power of congress, and implemented the "graduated income tax" whereby your God given right to the pursuit of happiness would succumb to their tax structure. they went to war against america and won the power (against the constitution) to print the republic's currency and loan it to us at interest even though they never print the interest for us to repay the loan (eternal indebtedness). but we, unlike other more courageous peoples, just take it like docile little sheep. so we all really need to wake up to the real war that has waged on this planet.
