If only I had something in Iraq to worry about. Unless they do something that Dinar, the accounts in Warka won't buy dog food.  RV the damn Dinar and then I would be more than happy to give someone 30%.  Sure looks like someone over there is big on kissing the ole A$$ of the USA. :o

As for parts of the other article, who the heck wants an apartment in Iraq? -_-

Something is up. Why would an Iraqi politician be concerned about U.S. economic policy? This just stands out for some reason...

As I understand these US laws (HR 2847) going into place... foreign banks run the risk having 30% of their holdings frozen if they are found in non-compliance of the reporting regulations about the holdings of their US customers. I wouldn't care for that either if I was a foreign bank.

I could be reading that wrong... I can hardly believe the arrogance of the US if they are saying they have that right.

Hope someone will correct me if I am wrong.

Here Is Tlar's Comments On It ...

5-12-2014   Newshound Guru Tlar   Article:  "Inside Iraq within the agreement « leaning back FATCA"  Quote:  "Saleh said in a statement ( morning) that this work gives immunity mutual agreement of both Iraq and the United States in the field of taxes and follow the movement of money in addition to that it increases the transparency in the exchange of information between the two sides of government."    Things like this only lend credibility to an RV coming.  IMO this is a law that is intended to stop anyone thinking of going to Iraq to cash out.  It is not specifically written for that but it opens the door for the US to inquire about any US citizen’s private bank account in Iraq.  So any of you that were thinking of going to Iraq to avoid paying taxes in the US, BEWARE.
