Ukraine crisis : Umbertino reported pro-Russian gunmen have seized more govt buildings in eastern Ukraine.  Insurgents now control buildings in about a dozen cities.  Pouting Putin says further economic sanctions may jeopardize US, EU energy deals.  He added he doesn’t think retaliation is necessary for now.  Senate GOP unveils tougher Russia sanctions bill, focusing on banking, energy sectors, hike support for NATO, speed up EU missile defense.   Russian financial assets still in focus on rising tensions in Ukraine, economic sanctions.   Captl1 heard IMF approves $17 billion bailout for Ukraine.  $3 billion of IMF funds can be made available immediately to Ukraine.

 

Other News : Rodandstaff heard Treasury Dept is focused on stopping US firms from relocating overseas to cut taxes. Chess doesn’t know what to think when he learns little Obe’s approval rating rose to 44% this month.  55% of Americans think economic, political system stacked against them.  Little obe blames GOP for blocking proposed increase in federal minimum wage which would have boosted wage to $10.10/hour by 2016.  Labor market indicators mixed, employment rate still elevated.  Housing recovery still slow and household spending appears to be rising more quickly.  Boosterbglee is happy as Fed keeps rates low for a considerable time after bond purchases end.  Vote for policy statement was unanimous.  Saint is glad NBA owner’s advisory/financial committee are meeting tomorrow and will discuss next steps toward Sterling’s removal as LA Clippers owner.

 

The bull climbed another 47 points on the slippery slope.  Calkid11 has been waiting for Facebook  to announce new privacy safeguards.  It will allow users to control what they share w/other websites when logging into them using facebook login service.  Snowglobe7 can’t wait for Microsoft to sell Xbox one game consoles in China starting in September, which means payday for Snow J  Barclays US chief Hugh McGee quits following internal clashes over pay and other issues.   Bumper64 is thinking of buying Apple bonds which raked in $12B to fund its plan to buy back stock and increase its dividend.  Apple VS Samsung is still heating up over companies’ latest patent case, involving older phones and it’s going to the jury trial. The Machine is happy as gold closed $1288 which means more yellow coins for him.  Silver closed at $19 and copper at $3.00

 

 

Dinar land : Iraqis began voting today in key election for new parliament.  It’s the first national ballot after the US pulled out troops in 2011.  Even though the aliens trying to disrupt the election, it went smoothly and high turnout as people anxious to vote.  Dinarian64 reported State of Law bloc doesn’t have enough votes to form new government alone, therefore Maliki will be selected to serve 3rd term.  If elected, Maliki is expected to form coalision between Shiites, Sunni and Kurds to fill the highest positions.  Iraq has seen exponential growth in the last four years and giving Maliki some credit.  Wiljor was with Ministry of Planning who confirms Iraq’s commitment to follow through with its five year plan to reduce dependency on petro dollar to 70% which means building other sectors such as agricultural, industry.  Puckster_guy feels it’s about time some parliament members are pushing for the budget to pass during its first session not to disrupt the ongoing projects.  Lawrenceofdinaria is happy to hear financial experts says new parliament must take steps and pass laws that will facilitate Iraq’s transition to market economy, monetary policy as soon as possible.

 

From rumor land : Delta thinks it might take 2 weeks or less to know the results of the election and hopefully we will be rich by then.  TNT Tony believes without a shadow of doubt that RI was initiated by Iraq at 7pm his time last Saturday.  DC says everyone involves in this process is looking forward to Iraq coming into its own and the RI of their currency.  Poppy believes very strongly that financial reform is in play everywhere and truly RV can happen anytime. 

 

Genx4me reported 36 tornadoes struck the Midwest and South on Sunday and Monday.  Storms have killed at least 37 people.  The storm has now dumped up to 20 inches of rain on the Florida panhandle.  Coastal flood advisory and flash flood watch in effect in Virginia.

Great job and thanks!  The USA should turn off credit card access to Russia. Stop the ladies from shopping and that will put pouting Putin in a perilous position.

 

Well, Capt.. I think we as ladies who like to shop.. we can always use cash too ;)
