How do I load a jpg to the site for an avatar?

At first it said the file was too large (over 50kb) so I made a few more sizes 39kb, 34kb, 19kb and 13kb, it sill will not load the jpg.

The only thing that happens is it shows it's loading (small rotating circle) but then nothing.  I have let it go for 30+ minutes.

Any suggestions?

Not sure why you are having trouble. A bit more info may help.

 

1. Are you trying to upload from a computer or your phone?

2. Are you in your Edit my Profile section or trying to add to your gallery?

3. What speed is your connection - it should take no more than a couple of minutes to upload under normal circumstances.4

edit my profile I click on change on the upper left corner of the grey silhouette

down 15.8mbps  up .72mbps. speed doesn't seem to be the issue.

 

Any suggestions?

I tried to upload another picture and experienced the same infinite loop.  Then I tried this avatar I have now, and it uploaded just fine.  Have you tried uploading a different type of image file?

Is this a stock photo on the web, or a personal photo only you have?  If its stock you can link to the photo.

Do you have access to any websites where you can upload the photo there and then link it that way?

The site is experiencing problems with .gif .jpg copy from word etc... My best guess is that after the site was shut down for a week not everything is back to normal yet.  I will let the other mods know.
