Announced Iraq market for securities, the value of shares traded for the year amounted to more than 2 trillion dinars, pointing out that non-Iraqi investors are concentrated in certain sectors.

Market Chief said Taha Ahmed Abdul Salam, in an interview for "alsumaria news", "securities market indicators for the current year are positive indicators," he said, adding that "the market trading until 12 December current 867 billion shares worth 2 trillion financial 2.8 trillion dinars".

He added that "the number of listed shares on the market amounted to 4.5 trillion shares following the capital increases in 2013, while the number of meetings held during this period, 223 market trading session during this period".

Abdel Salam confirmed that "next June 2014 will see the launch of the new electronic system for the market after signing a contract with NASDAQ market innovation", pointing out that "the development will also include the launch of the information and prices on international media networks, in addition to the live broadcast, which launched by the market".

Abdel Salam added that the movement of non-Iraqi investors in the market is positive and rising, but taken them is the concentration in the sectors without the other, "he said, adding that" the most concentrated sectors by non-Iraqi investors, banks and industrial companies and tourism without the other ".

The Iraq market for securities was founded in June 2004, and have relied on manual trading, and in April 2009, electronic trading was adopted in part by some companies, and trading electronically to companies registered in 2010, the market traded 85 company belonging to seven sectors of banking, industrial, hospitality, tourism, agriculture, investment, and insurance services.
