Hard to Celebrate

Its hard for me to celebrate on these 2 holidays Veterans Day

and Memorial Day.Its Hard for me because I have to do it alone

the only real friends I ever had are gone but not forgotten.

We fought on the same battle grounds that have been fought on

for many centuries leaving our blood on top of blood of other

soldiers that were there before us and on that day of our shining

we left ours too.

As you can see by the pic I uploaded my friends gave on the battle

field they had to give somemore when the military ambulance

taking my friends to the Blackhawk Heli pad to transfer to the

Mash was struck by RPG killing everyone inside.

War is Hell but we did it anyways!

 

Note to the Lord;

When you retrieve these soilded soil's O Lord and build a new man

from the dust of the earth.

Please instill the memories of the fallen that you rebuild today so they

can understand what it took to be one of these heroic men that fought

not only for his Country but for Freedom of his fellow man.

 

I miss you guys more than you could know and I Love You always

I will be coming to see you soon Amen.

Saying "Thank You" and "I Honor You" for your service... hardly seems enough...

 

Please just know I love you and all your brothers and sisters that gave so much for all of us.

You've definitely touched a nerve in sharing the more gruesome aspects of war.... I feel for you in the friends you've lost, ... we've all lost, along with the sons and daughters, nieces and nephews, grand kids, brothers and sisters..... that have given their lives that this country remains the greatest on earth.

I'm sure many have read this and just don't know what to say.... and kudos to Maggie who has no fear wading into a difficult post showing her support...

 

I'd guess there are more than a few vets who read this, and probably didn't want to wade through their own memories.... and/or go to that place of remembering a lot of stuff many work to forget..... Ripping the seal off of that,.... just doesn't work for some who have worked so hard to keep intact.... Frankly and to be truthful, I for one grazed over it, lest it take me down paths I'd rather not travel... at least today.....

 

PG, what happened to your buds is absolutely tragic... and hopefully, at some point and maybe even today, you can join me and all the others losing loved buds and family, and celebrate the memories of their lives... Celebrate the good they did, their laughter, stupid jokes, funny grins, amazing talents. ... their loving hearts, their fierce spirits, their commitment to God and country.... Don't let the horrors of war bury them... and instead keep them alive in your heart and mind, and feeding your commitment to touch another life in a way that matters... I'm pullin for ya buddy... and thank you for your service in making a difference in lives of all Americans........

Awe Maggie I am so choked up I love you to and its ok I did my job proudly just for people like you!

And I would do it all over again.

The day that changed my life came 5 months later and I wont post that pic taken by the Marines

I followed into battle it rained mortars on us all.Out of the fiffty men that went into that area

6 of us came out alive.So I am glad to be here to and you are all wonderful.

To me the best friends one could have are the ones that would lay down there lives for us.

Whats bad Razur is I was able to take this picture because I had to cull parts from DRMO

for emergency repairs late at night and when going through some of the vehicles I found

Human remains like teeth,pieces of scalp with hair, toes,fingers.Bone fragments.

Just as I found in my friends ambulance.They just said to put them in a pile in the front seat

Things were going down pretty heavy and they didnt have the time to do a complete search.

I have over a thousand pic's of this war and not to many of them are pretty.

As a officer I led my men into battle by example because I didnt want to send anyone to there

death I wanted it first.I spent alot of time with my men got to know them really well and they

all performed above specifications.I salute them Now!

Its just so hard to celebrate without them.

 

Your Job Razur is more dangerous than mine was and I pray for you.

Be safe up their and check your radar often.

I KNOW,, I LOST ALOT OF FRIENDS. THEY WILL STAY IN MY MIND. WE ALL SEEN TO MUCH, PEOPLE JUST DONT REALIZE, HOW GOOD THEY HAVE IT.  AND THE FRIENDS AND FAMILY UNTIL THEY ARE GONE. TAKE THE TIME AND PRAY AND THANK GOD FOR EVERY DAY. I DO EVERY NIGHT.

When the name Powergeneration stood for something.

I supplied power to all branches during war time.

I was also responsible for power to all FLIR systems

forward looking infared radar for mortar guidence.These systems

were always under attack and would have to go out their and repair

or replace the powergen set under heavy fire alot of Marines lost

their lives protecting me.I love the marines for the jobs they had to do

and have my upmost respect.

Here I am on my only day off working with the british minesweepers

and IED control.I developed a cell phone difuser that would set off

IED's laid by children for our convoys to run over.We would drive down every road

used by our troops and set these devices off before any convoy would leave.

This vehicle designed by the british could take a IED hit and keep driving

sometimes we had to change a tire or two.God Bless The British for there

aid in the War.Dont think this is a dangerous job enlist and find out.

Sometimes after we difused these devices after we drove off those same

kids would go and plant somemore.KIDS!did this and would use their cell phones

in wait for our troops to set them off and then laugh.The marines had to kill

a bunch of these kids so just think how they felt in doing this.

Hard to celebrate just hard to celebrate.

A RPG could take one of these vehicles out so alot of British gave their lives

as well.

Its hard to see me whole like this and makes me cry.

I am sorry that I am a downer but I am proud of what I did for Freedom!

After the Mash patched me up the General came to see me with other

dignataries they gave me this certificate and awarded me the Bronze Star

for my performance.

I really never cared for metals or patches because we worked as a team

so as a team I accepted this Honor.

When I got back home President George Bush awarded me the Official

Bronze Star for duty above and beyond the call of duty.

I ran out into the field of battle to make repairs on a generator that operated

a FLIR and our camp was under severe mortar attack after I got this generator

fixed I was running back to the camp a mortar landed right next to me and

I was blown apart losing my legs,1 arm 1 lung 1 eye and half of my face.

They say I saved countless lives on this day but I was only doing the job

that I signed up for and nothing more.I would gladly do it again today if I could.

I love America and its people within and abroad.

I am just glad to be alive today and wish to Thank the Mash surgical team

for the job that they did on me.Thank You! from the bottom of my heart!
